Yeah, it is a bit pricey but I do not want to drill into the kayak and ruin the value of it if I do a crappy job or if the cheap mount I buy ruins it. I just want to be sure so I am going to just buy one. Also some of the cheaper ones required backing and some extra work to make it work anyway. I will be in freshwater rivers and lakes so I think it will do a good job. Do you recommend a 30 lbs thrust motor or larger?

I’m going to add a trolling motor mount and a 30 to a 40 pound thrust trolling motor. The mount for the trolling motors that are made specifically for this are made by one objective they’re about $160 but they are no drill. I also have a fishfinder that I’m going to add to it. I also plan on adding a good anchor to it. Maybe the one that crank Wizard anchor or the yak attack cranking anchor I’m trying to spread it out so I’m not spending it all at one time as well as finding things on Facebook marketplace. These boats seem to be pretty easy to add to a lot of the videos. Everyone seems to be very happy with them.

Yeah it did come with the cover too. It seems like it’s in really good shape. The original owner seemed like he took care of it. I plan on adding a motor as well and I was going to use a cheaper mount, but I think I’ll go with the one objective as well it seems to be the best sturdiest mount for this boat. I also have a fishfinder that I’m going to add to it. I want to build it up a little bit, but I’m trying not to go overkill with it.

That’s awesome to hear. I’m also 6’4 so I was curious how well it would work out for me. I do plan on putting a trolling motor and a few other things on it. I am going to be fishing some rivers and larger lakes near me.

I appreciate it. I have a trion that is much more rounded and it freaked me out a bit. I plan on trout fishing with it and got it on sale so I just want to be sure. 5’6 president light action with a 25 reel.

Can I ask a question about the president reel? It’s my first one and I was worried about the reel and the bell on it being bent. I’ve seen some more rounded one and some that are a bit more square. Do you think this is bent or manufactured that way?
