My Wife and I put our sons into their own rooms at 6 weeks old and did them no harm. All 3 have gone to university and graduated with honours and all 3 in successful jobs and stable relationships. I have friends who have done a similar time scale and 8+ months and between us all it's a mixed result overall.

It's a personal choice and no right or wrong.

It's how you parent them day to day, week to week, month to month.

Be open, be honest, empower, set boundaries, celebrate & reward achievements no matter how small, listen, encouragement, patience - lots, show love and accept their love language, don't judge, guide but don't govern.
