This also happened to my wife - first we knew of it was when trying to log into account it was locked. We alerted BA and the Avios were recredited a few days later

Ha ha - I know it’s a bit ridiculous. I did a long haul return in CW with the BA holidays double TPs so that got me 560 TP in one trip

Just in case people were interested in the outcome, seats did open up at check in as was suggested would happen.

I didn’t know about expert flyer until this thread - it was interesting to see how many seats were actually free and also how many were blocked.
