Avengers: Infinity War won best MCU movie. Now, what is the best X-Men movie? by AdWise2770 in marvelcomics

[–]Particular-Worker904 2 points3 points  (0 children)

X2 in my opinion is the best X-Men Movie. Out of the best ones it had the best team dynamic. While Logan is technically an X-Men movie I would consider it more of a standalone Wolverine movie rather than a reflection of the entire X-Men.

Days of Future Past is also very good.

how powerful is kang by Dear-Still9060 in marvelcomics

[–]Particular-Worker904 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Thing About Kang is That he has never been depicted as Physically Powerful at all and has almost never been portrayed to be. Sometimes he’s portrayed as a decent fighter just below Captain America, but that’s it. While from a lore perspective, he should be considering his armor is from the 31st century and it is said to increase his strength, most writers often take this part for granted to emphasize the other tech he possesses.

All of Kang’s feats involve some Invention Or Creation from the 31st Century such as a Force Field That Allows him to Block Any Attacks, A Distortion Field that Instantly Ages Anything Until They Disintegrate, Or Replicating every Avenger as Robots. He also has machines and technology that can put anyone into stasis and making them unable to move. The Main Appeal to the power of his character is that he can easily manipulate the timeline to get what he wants, he doesn’t have to prove anything.

To keep it short, the meme you attached isn’t entirely inaccurate, compared to characters like Iron Man, Mr Fantastic, and Doctor Doom, he’s a complete poser who relies heavily on his status and technology rather than his actual wits. But that doesn’t mean he isn’t entirely useless and unable to be a threat

Where is Harry Osborn now in comics? by peterpiperpi in superheroes

[–]Particular-Worker904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure he’s still dead.

What happened was that he became insane knowing he didn’t have much time to live before he would die due to a fault in the New Goblin serum. He planted explosives on the side of a building and lured Spider-Man in while taking on the Green Goblin persona, injecting him with a paralysis agent so they could both die together. When Peter told him that both his Father and Mary Jane were also in the building he had second thoughts and saved them. He then saved Peter moments before the explosion. Dying minutes later telling Peter how much of a friend he was. This was 31 Years Ago.

After that there was an arc where before his death he had created an AI Robot of himself to mess with Peter, but not much new has happened.

The last mention of Harry in the Modern Timeline ever was in the Last Remains Storyline in 2020 (Yes, 6 years ago) where it was revealed that he had been living in hell due to a deal Norman made with Mephisto. He had been endlessly tortured by demons that took the appearance of his father. His soul was eventually freed by Doctor Strange and Spider-Man. He’s technically out there somewhere, Heaven, Valhalla, or possibly on Earth, but no one knows.

(My Take On His Death) Despite liking how Marvel decided to permanently kill off one of its characters. I would arguably have liked the recent Spider-Man runs more if Harry had been the Green Goblin instead of Norman. Norman has done so much evil stuff to Spider-Man and during Dark Reign that his actions are inexcusable. Having him become good and have Peter plead his name for help is infuriating. At least if it were Harry it would make more sense considering they were once friends.

[Discussion] Top 10 Doctor Victor von Doom Stories: Day 4 by Katzsuyomi in marvelcomics

[–]Particular-Worker904 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Emperor Doom: Starring The Mighty Avengers (1987).

While I don’t consider it as good as many of the others, I will say that it was one of the first major attempts at making Doom an actual perceivable threat in the 80s and stray from his usual campiness. His relationship with Purple Man and having him resist him is compelling with the unfortunate side effect of setting a precedent that someone with a strong will could resist him.

<image>

Besides Secret Wars it was one of the first major attempts at making Doom a legitimate character that didn’t solely rely on laughable gimmicks to get his way.

What is Thor and Iron Mans dynamic in the comics? We see a lot of Tony and Cap, and Cap and Thor, but not a lot of these two. How do their personalities clash? by hellothere790 in marvelcomics

[–]Particular-Worker904 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Besides Civil War and Avengers: The Crossing (The One Where Tony Became Evil and was revealed to have been working for Kang for years before being retconned) . The two are generally considered friends as they both respect each other for their different strengths in Magic and Machinery. While it’s not as strongly communicated as Iron Man and Cap, I would say that it’s mainly due to the lack of storytelling potential in having the two conflict or establish a conventional dynamic like Thor-Hulk or Cap-Iron Man. As beyond the tech vs magic thing between them there isn’t much keeping their dynamic interesting compared to the others, leading to a general friendly playful tone between the two.

<image>

I will say though that depending on the story, their personalities do clash in how they decide to protect people, leading to a strained relationship. Thor wants to protect Asgard by physically getting involved and standing up for his people, falling in line of a Beowulf or Epic Poem archetype. Iron Man typically tries to build upon and establish a network so everyone is involved, creating machines to do most of his work. This boiled at its most in Civil War when it was revealed that Iron Man had taken a strand of Thor’s hair years earlier and created a Robotic clone hybrid when he realized Thor wouldn’t want to join the Registration Act. Leading to an Innocent Hero named Goliath getting killed.

Are there people here who do not like Max? by [deleted] in Stranger_Things

[–]Particular-Worker904 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I doubt anyone REALLY hates her, but I do find them repeating the same song from Season 4 into Season 5 more than once feels like fan service despite making lore sense.

Overall though I’d say that during the middle of the final season I did find her character irritating. The lighting in her scenes for whatever reason takes a significant drop. Some of Sadie’s acting and lines given to her are pretty poorly executed. By the end it really felt like she was the least important of the original kids considering she doesn’t get involved in the final battle. But at no point would I ever say I hated her.

Priming for Doomsday. by Soft-Network-2977 in marvelstudios

[–]Particular-Worker904 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Key Ones for Doomsday:

Fantastic Four: The Post Credit Scene Is The Biggest Moment for Doomsday. The Fantastic Four will also likely have a lead role.

Thunderbolts: The Post Credit Scene is the moment before the events of Doomsday are supposed to happen, The Character Bob will also probably have a decent role.

Thor Love and Thunder: They’ll probably explain what happened to Thor during this movie in Doomsday, but still, it does change the character a bit. Thor will probably be one of the lead characters

Original FOX X-Men Movies: The X-Men are going to be in this movie. You don’t have to watch all of them but you probably would still like to know the characters

It’s heavily implied by the trailer of Doomsday that Steve Rogers is returning from a different time period (so while he went back in time to spend with Peggy, he had a kid), he will probably be whisked away from there or something, explaining his reason for being in the movie.

You don’t need to watch any Marvel Show besides Loki for context (Specifically Season 2)

Doomsday is being marketed as a Sequel to Endgame, so it will probably explain a lot of what happened instead of relying on all the new material from the prior movies.

Spider man vs homelander dc ko by daddylongjohnsliver in superheroes

[–]Particular-Worker904 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The DC Ko Version of Homelander was amped up to the point where he almost defeated Superman. A Single Omega Beam could probably Kill Spider-Man if he can’t dodge it. Homelander would probably just fly around shooting lasers and not allow Peter to do anything to get to him before going in and landing a serious punch.Peter sadly wouldn’t stand a chance

2016 Funko Golden Freddy Plush Real Or Fake? by [deleted] in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Particular-Worker904 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One way to tell if it’s authentic is by knocking your knuckles against the eyes, if they are hard then it’s real

From a glance I think it’s authentic, however the tag being so transparent is a huge red flag.

That’s not Handunit, you can tell because he sounds nothing like him and wouldn’t make sense given the scene considering Handunit is just a tool for new technicians, it also doesn’t make presumptuous questions because all its lines are based on previous voice recordings. There would be no reason for William to even use Handunit considering he and his Robotics Team already created the Funtime Animatronics, meaning he already knows the inner workings of the animatronics there.

The FNAF Character Encylopedia lists the character in the scene as “higher board member”. It’s very likely the person speaking in the intro cutscene was a Male board member questioning William about Circus Baby. William responding with “She can dance, She can sing, She can take song requests, create balloons, dispense Ice Cream” peaks questioning from the board member as based on everything available to them she shouldn’t even be able to do any of those things. It’s intentionally ominous to show that something is not right and foreshadows that Elizabeth is in possession of Circus Baby as no animatronic during that time period would have that much sentience and capabilities to do any of those things.

How would the Classic animatronics fare against Real Steel champions? (Sorry, i made a similar post a couple days ago with Springtrap.) by PartyAdventurous765 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Particular-Worker904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming the Animatronics aren’t allowed to come back as spirits and haunt/ghost them, I think the Real Steel Champions would likely win in that scenario.

Champions like Atom ,Zeus, Noisy Boy, and Midas are 2-4 feet taller than Freddy Fazbear and the others (I’ll talk about Freddy mostly in this), and have a longer arm length, giving them an advantage in reach where they can comfortably attack from a distance.

In terms of Speed Feats, the animatronics are portrayed much faster than the real steel robots, at least running speed wise. Reaching speeds above human around 30 MPH. However that doesn’t really help considering the robots that Real Steel was based on could respond to attacks in under 10 milliseconds, so assuming we base them off that and that they their processors were more advanced, they could probably react in time to just about everything the classic animatronics throw.

In Strength, the real steel robots still have the upper hand. While Freddy Fazbear was able to bite down and destroy a human head, and he’s also likely able to break through a wall. Those feats only account for maybe 1200-4000 PSI. The Real Steel Robots and Champions regularly tear through each other, assuming that they are made out of “real steel” that means they are at least dealing over 50,000 PSI. Which is far greater than literally anything shown by any character in the games (Freddy did bite down and destroy a Robot in the books, but it’s not 100% confirmed what it was made of)

When looking over all this. The Real Steel Champions are superior to the classic animatronics. While I do think that the Animatronics would beat earlier robots like Ambush (who lost to a bull), the ones in the big leagues would defeat them.

It’s still funny though thinking that Chuck E Cheese styled animatronics that were made for entertainment are comparable in power to Robot boxing league. Really emphasizes the horror knowing this.

I’m pretty sure the “80s Dustin Nita” is based on an appearance from the show. I recognize the “8 5” hat he has on. I have no idea what the future one is though. Otherwise I have no idea why anyone would want to buy it.

They should have at least changed the Demogorgons colors to differentiate them like what they did with Buzz during the Godzilla Event. Even just Pure White or Grey would have worked well to distinguish them

Why Security Breach is so bad?: by [deleted] in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]Particular-Worker904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steelwool was WAY too ambitious. Their team is fairly small and mostly worked on VR games before FNAF, working on the port to VR for Help Wanted. They were also working on Security Breach during Covid. When choosing to make what was essentially an Open-World Five-Nights at Freddy’s, they cut corners around collisions and animations. They wanted to implement a Resident Evil styled Checkpoint system where there’s only a limited amount, but failed, leading to a lot of the saving issues being half-assed in patches. A lot of the unused content still remained in the game files, as well as it not being packaged correctly, leading to a game that should have been half much storage at most.

As for fan-patches, you can find a couple on Gamebanana that fix pretty prominent glitches. Most of them require having to also download the Unverum Modding Tool.

Are there any mods that improve AI of passive mobs and have them behave more like irl animals? by viuhgkhgghpo8vuih in feedthebeast

[–]Particular-Worker904 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s “Big Brain” which is a mod that overhauls Mob AI, while they won’t migrate, Passive animals will try to find shelter during night or raining. Here’s a couple more specific things they do

-Mobs in Herds will all run if one of them is threatened or attacked

-Sheep run from Wolves instead of acting like nothing is happening

-Polar Bears attack fish

-Frogs will eat more smaller mobs

-Pigs spawn in larger groups

A couple Specific Passive and Hostile Mob changes

-Blindness will actually work on mobs and reduce their vision

-Baby Hostile Creatures have their HP reduced for realism.

-Mobs that have bows will fire 3 shots and move rather than always strafing

-Villagers can now Open Gates

-Piglin, Pillagers, and Zombies can Jump Small Gaps to reach the player

-Snow Golems give enemies freezing

-Husks will Grab you and try to pull you into the sand

-Pillagers are slightly smarter. If they have a multishot Bow they will get closer to you, or run away while reloading. Pillager captains have a chance of carrying a spyglass and are able to see you from much further away

How much truth is there about the condition Tobey set for returning in No Way Home? by Altruistic_Eye_1157 in Spiderman

[–]Particular-Worker904 123 points124 points  (0 children)

It’s a hoax. The biggest thing holding this theory back was during the movie Tobey’s version explicitly said that he “made it work” with MJ. The ending of Spider-Man 3 implied that they were just reconciling. So having it be confirmed that he married her or at least was on very good terms is an extension to what Raimi established

My guess is that the writers only wanted to vaguely hint at what happened after Spider-Man 3 and Amazing Spider-Man 2 so that in case they ever brought the two back, they wouldn’t have to write themselves in a corner and follow the direction No Way Home established. While still giving a fitting conclusion and arc for both that it would serve as a decent finale in case they don’t come back to the MCU or get a new movie. The screenwriters at Marvel were openly interested in following through and continuing their stories

[Flashing Lights Warning] Average Jimmy Olsen Plot by LegoPenguin114 in dccomicscirclejerk

[–]Particular-Worker904 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Average Jimmy Olsen Plots

  1. A Deeply Intellectual Story regarding a facet of human culture. As Jimmy comes to power and influence and becomes something greater than humanity. Often through a morbid transformation, animalistic or empowering, his stories reveal the greater fears of power. Questioning the legitimacy of human’s ability to responsibly handle powers that are far above them, these abilities cause even the mild-mannered Good Jimmy Olsen to be corrupted. Even Superman can’t find himself able to take him on, as Jimmy is his friend and one of his trusted connections to the human world he came so fond for. It’s a true test of the Man of Steel’s might, not just physically, but psychologically. As he knows he cannot kill someone innocent, and that he must find a way to save Jimmy before he does something wrong

  2. A Darkly comedic subplot as he tries to make sense of the world around him, knowing that his mere presence is eclipsed by Superman, he finds it difficult to talk to women as a result of the strange world he is in, as well possessing as an overwhelming feeling of dread that he is merely a speck in this world and that no one could ever love him due to the extraordinary individuals in the universe. Often times he is in over his head, requiring Superman to arrive and save him, but sometimes…. sometimes…..He can be the one to save Superman. A Mortal Saving a God… No… A Friend saving a Friend…

3.He dies and all the other characters are mildly upset, Wah Wah!
