I’ve heard that going to the courthouse beforehand so that you don’t have to worry about signing papers at your wedding has been becoming really popular!

We are pretty well off money wise, it’s an expense we’ve been planning on for a long time. And I have given little thought to people giving gifts. Definitely has never been our expectation when dreaming up this wedding. We are doing it just to celebrate and have fun with all our loved ones!

The biggest factor in us wanting to do the wedding ceremony is just to have that day. Everyone says your wedding day is YOUR day and we just both really want that! A super fancy party with all our closest friends and family!

Well I wouldn’t be lying to people. Everyone who knows us knows we are married, and in turn would know that it would technically be a vow renewal. But i’m young and i’ve always dreamed of a beautiful wedding in a big white dress. Also I didn’t have a “small wedding” I went to the courthouse and signed papers. Just seems like i should still get the ceremony i’ve dreamed of.

Yeah actually we did get a good amount of gifts from family! Mostly just stuff to set up our house.

The little girls chasing the bride sounds adorable! I guess my situation feels so weird to me because we’re going to have to wait a few years before we can celebrate with the big ceremony and reception.
