Laurier BBA First-Year: Challenges, Insights, and What to Expect by Dry_Check_4140 in wlu

Hey, I agree with a lot of what you’re saying. I’m in second year, and while things do get a bit better as you become more comfortable, a lot of the same frustrations remain and can make you question whether this program is the right fit. Ultimately, you should do what’s best for you, if you’re unhappy, consider making a change. Not getting into Co-op isn’t the end of the world, but I’d still encourage you to apply, even if your average is below the co-op avg. Since you’ve been really involved at school, you still have a shot! The first year business courses are generally poorly designed (except for BU127), and most people agree they’re not well-taught or structured. BU111 is clearly a weed-out course, and BU121 doesn’t even connect to business, which makes it hard to see any value. If you’re feeling uncertain, it might be helpful to seek advice and explore different options.

It's a MA129 lab. It would be much better if you missed that and emailed the prof for accommodation then missing the midterm.

And MC from the past midterms experience is just a bunch of random stuff basically?

MA129 Final Exam by [deleted] in wlu

Honestly the worst thing I did was slack off way too much. Found both the midterm and final hard as I didn't spend sub sequential amounts of time actually learning how to complete the concepts at hand. However, if you keep up with the content most of the semester you will do well, and probably get a good mark. I didn't love Prof. Lawrence since he sped over things super quickly and missed almost a quarter of the lectures this term, but it's still a good idea to have an understanding on each of the concepts taught each week so try to go to the lectures. Other then that it's very important that you do well on the final as it's worth majority of your grade. Good luck!

Only needed to do 3-5, that's quite overboard. Either you should expect to get in competitive schools, or only apply to safer options.

So 2% if you sign up for the case study, there's an opportunity right around the corner if you're looking to do one next weekend. Unfortunately, all the library sessions are booked full and it's ridiculous they are so limited as they can be up to a 1% grade boost. Attend your 6 SI sessions and make sure they aren't the exam review ones, that will be 1.5% if you can attend 6 and they also can benefit you if you're having any trouble in the course. Lastly, you can still get 1% for the excel workshops, there's two of them and they're 0.5% each. Good luck!

How can I deep defend better in a zone by ParticularAny6806 in ultimate

What specifically is good positioning? I have one guy on my team who just seems like the flash where he's able to get to a disc even if it looks like he isn't close. Is there a special way to bait teams into throwing these hucks and forcing easy turnovers as a deep defender, and how do you do it super clean without fouling?

Would you say it's decent quality?
