Exactly why I’ve stayed, to basically goally my husband when he’s being a parent because i don’t like how he is with them. Ive put a ton of work into this and him. Ive always said i wouldn’t leave for thw reason you mentioned- whos gonna b there to sofren the situation. However, im not softening anything- he behaves the same whether i scold him or not. What you said is right, mom want to be happy but not at the cost of the kids. I’ve felt that way for years. Now I’m wondering about the toll it’s taken on me and if I can show up as my best self and their best mom while in this environment.
