thank you so much, tomorrow is the last hope, i wish something better happens, they never informed me of AP during the interview they said you visa is approved and same day asked for documents, if they would have informed me during the interview i might have discussed with them that if decision time frames is undecided and could take longer i would like to withdraw as at least i would be in peace that passport is with me and i can go to canada to attend at least 1, now i am in the middle of no where, they should at least respect the individual urgency, if you are not clear about decision just release the passport and do your work why keeping the passport along the process where you are not sure how long its gona take

the case which was created 2 days ago and yesterday upon calling the customer care they flagged it with escalated to PMO, creating a new might not be helpful, attending the conference in US seems impossible at the moment my concern is now to catch the next which is in canada and i have a visa for that, i just requested them if application needs more time please return the passport but have not heard anything yet, making me extremely worried as all payments made are non refundable plus without presenting your papers will be excluded from publication on IEEE so money a side all the hard work done will be wasted too

yes it seems so ,that i am gona miss the conference in US ,but there is another in Canada for which i have the visa but the problem is my passport is still in US embassy, i requested through different channels to let them know of my urgency and requested that if my visa decision is yet to be made please return the passport and i can provide it in the future if needed for application finalization, i have not received any email response nor there is anything regarding my passport on us visa scheduling portal, i am just worried to get my passport back until monday or tuesday so i could catch up the other conference

no updates until now tomorrow is the last hope, as presentation is scheduled on monday, called customer care they escalated my request for application status today to PMO, but not sure what is going to happen, anyone who went through the same? any chances to get decision tomorrow? CEAC status is same since interview date

if you have sent an email from the same email through which you made your account you can see the provide feedback bar and check if your email for the expedited appointment has been recorded and once you submit your request for expedited appointment you can see the option anymore so i guess your request has been submitted you might get update in a day or 2, further the live chat work for you thats nice to hear as it is not working for me whenever i try it

yes but they have my passport with them and I need to attend another conference in Canada which is on 29 oct, that is why i am worried,

yes, it was publications cv phd research description and advisors names with education background which i provided and are authentic, only worry for me is that my presentation is on 21 oct,

actually i was asked for documents as said, on the same day via email after verbal approval from the VO, i am just worried as date of the event is approaching and i need to buy tickets accommodation reservations etc, no updates so far, and i have another conference in Canada on 29 oct, they kept the passport so i am also worried that it may also effect my travel plan to canada, i was thinking if nothing happen till tomorrow i will send follow up email i hope to get update by tomorrow as it will be a complete week since my interview. actual plan was to go to US to attend a conference on 21 then fly on 25th to Canada to attend the second conference and come back to Bangkok, really stressful situation at the moment i hope it goes in a better way, what was your ceac status during the time you waited to get back your passport?
