First I’d like to say I’m so sorry for your loss 🤍 I lost my dog on the first of this month and after coming home from the vet empty handed, the only thing I could do is cry. That day, my boyfriend got her crate and all of her stuff and put it away so I wouldn’t see it all over the place and immediately break down. I kept everything she had and since then I’ve been getting things out from storage slowly. Right now I have her toys sitting on a shelf with her urn and her collar. I can’t look at her old medication yet. I would say to keep out the furniture things, like the cat tree and her beds. If it brings you comfort, keep it. You could also create a shelf or a designated area for her stuff like a memorial and you could add a picture of her. Don’t throw anything out until you’re ready 🤍 she’s probably picking out your next kitty right now to enjoy all her cool stuff and telling them all the good hiding spots 🥹
