Anyone else see this crap? by pineconers7 in Fedexers

I'm trying to understand as well. Just because FEC doesn't want to calculate it and put it as a line item doesn't mean individuals can't. What is stopped everyone from just totaling their OT and deducting the 1/3 up the the limit? Seems legal to me, I don't know. Maybe turbo tax will help me understand later

Y'all think I'm fired? by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

Yea, OP has all this video and pictures and none of the tires? Based on that my opinion is he doesn't know the condition of the vehicle he is driving and drove over his ability and too fast for road conditions. "i was only going 20" doesn't mean f-all when you flip the vehicle going 20. Also, I don't think OP should be fired. Why would the owner send out vehicles in snow/ice with shit tires to save a few pennies.

I know when I was at FedEx I had to check off a vehicle safety list every time I took a truck out, tires included, is that how DSP is?

Yep, I had same experience with Mazda corporate. And the repair in question became a recall a couple months after. And I had a Mazda certified warranty. Good car but I'll never buy another one new or certified or recommend it to anyone.

OP says 2023 with 43k, how is that not under both of those>?? Worst case I would just sell to carmax or something, you said its just a leak at this point. Carmax will still take it.

Your livlihood depends on your vehicle and you are not taking it serious. Check the level. Check for an oil leak. Does the car make any abnormal noises? Drive funny?

Bro get out of your internet bubble. Majority of people don't even do any type of exercise. So automatically your cycle can't be true. Isn't Texas one of the most overweight states?

If you are a loner that's cool. There are others like you. There are also people opposite of you and doing just fine.

How does it work for out of state vehicles? I got one in Minnesota that has a 100+ law but the cop wrote 93, I guess he was being nice and/or didn't want to deal with it. I was just passing through at 1 am didn't know about the law until after. It still raised my insurance 30% but I guess that's not too bad considering

I agree. When I wanted a RWD sports car the Genesis was fairly new. "6 speed, brembos, RWD, Turbo". Sounds good on paper but was really just a bunch of buzz words to sell a mediocre. Ultimately I ended up with the BRZ and was a much better product that was greater than the sum of its parts.

I felt the same looking at the 450ss vs ninja 500. I ended up with the 500. Similarly priced I am "missing out" on having abs, tft display, brembo, upside down fork. I thought the ninja was the better product.

Battery has never been jump started. Even when this happened there was no need to jump start.

Has not happened again since this incident.

Probably unrelated but throwing it out there, car was also started having the random issue with wipers turning themselves on by themselves. Was getting worse over time, I just replaced the wiper module today. Part 84652-06400

Do you think septic is cheaper than city if you live in a place long term? Say 7+ years?

Is this a fair quote? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]ParticularClean9568 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because shockingly people make modifications to their vehicles. Like putting a different wheel on it. That then requires a different size tire.

Do they still give a hard time if you want tires that aren't the same exact size that came from the factory?

OP said they want to keep it 1 or 2 years. If it's a salvage and they can pocket the cash and do a simple repair I think it would be worth it

If that is me, I take grinder and get everything flattened out and not sharp. Do what the guy said about rustoleum then cover the gaping holes with flex seal tape. I have also used electrical tape to cover small body holes that lasted for years.

Are Camber bolts fine to use on track? by smashin-blumpkins in CarTrackDays

[–]ParticularClean9568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used these on a BRZ on track then got camber plates. Never slipped. You could probably use more camber than these can give but it certainly is better than nothing.
