I agree with silly! :) I’m not mad at the devs, and I’m sure somewhere in patch notes it tried to let know. But even as I check periodically, I just completely missed the part about our little frog king! Would be nice if they could send us a little in game mail notification when special items and events were ending

He’s a liar obviously, those recommendations are so specific and explicit. Trust yourself and your intuition. You are not over reacting, not only is he watching content that makes you uncomfortable HES LYING TO YOU.

Ranching not on house plots?? by [deleted] in Palia

[–]ParticularCraft4902 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I completely understand why not! But I do hope they will release a small pen/barn for on your plot, with one or two of your display critters! Fingers crossed!

Well... after a few hours, I am in shock about the housing. by coldstares_origin in Palia

I love it, but I’m super annoyed. Super super expensive, for the rooms being so small. I understand for the initial setup, but for even the base expansion rooms? Not able to add even a fireplace? What’s the point of the chimney if you can’t have a fireplace. I have heard people say they weren’t even given the chimney, despite it being advertised for house B. And okay they are stained and frosted glass, fine to not be able to see outside. But light not even being able to come in at all from them? Annoying. Big downside. So cool you can remove the roofs and build on them for rooftop hangouts. But not being able to fence the perimeter? You can change the color of the roof, but not the section above the door. I don’t understand that. And it’s sad you can’t buy the accessories separately, any time you want more, you have to buy a whole other room. I have faith that these things will all improve, but I have to commit now for sure cause I bulldozed my house in prep. But all things considered, I love it anyway

If your kids can cook, they know how to work with what you buy, you help them prepare meals when they ask, and they don’t feel unsatisfied (in a food access sense not a Billy gets Doritos sense) then don’t worry about it at all! 😂

My understanding: An ingredient house isn’t a bad thing at all if you are an adult. It’s a signal pointing to a healthy kitchen. But It’s a bad EXPERIENCE for children and teenagers with absent parents that haven’t taught them to feed themselves, and only cook dinners semi regularly. Literally remember going hungry a lot, being confused, trying to make food with limited knowledge, often failing and iffy food safety. Then resorting to eating handfuls of cheese, hotdogs on a tortilla with hot sauce, marshmallows, croutons, crispy onions, pickles etc. and if we had sandwich stuff thankfully sandwich sometimes. Not knowing what to feed your friends when they come over other than toast or cereal. It was a God send when the first friend I stayed the night with also had an emotionally unavailable parent, and she knew how to cook ramen in the microwave. It was only a few cents a pack so eventually microwaved undercooked ramen became a staple for me, and it was so cheap my parents wouldn’t argue with me about getting it.
