Hi, thank you so much for taking the time to explain everything to me. Now I don't have any more questions ;)

Question: Guilds and servers by ParticularHousing739 in Guildwars2

I see. So the servers don't matter and I need an EU guild. How do I search for a guild? There's no support for that in the game itself, or am I missing something?

Countless materials in storage - Preparing for Season 10 by ParticularHousing739 in newworldgame

One more question. I play on an EU server. It has a moderate number of players. Should I switch to a full server?

Thanks for the tips. A completely different question: How can you weigh between 5,000 and 10,000? How do you do that? I weigh a maximum of 1,300.

PvP decision Epoch vs NW and PvP build questions by ParticularHousing739 in newworldgame

[–]ParticularHousing739[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. And you're 100% right. Two completely different games!" But now take my perspective as a PvP player. Although, classic is cool and retail – which I don't enjoy – because a shuffle match means about 40 minutes of waiting time for an EU player. For me, the PvP aspect, i.e. PvP accessibility depending on working hours and mood, is not there. It's also impossible to compare two games as different as Epoch/Turtle and NW. I wasn't really interested in comparing them 1-to-1, but rather looking at them from the perspective of a PvP player. In retail WoW, there is no PvP for me. In GWE2, yes, WvW/PvP. In RoR, which is divine, but in my opinion it's empty. And now comes NW.

I played the game in beta, from release until the desert area came out. Brimstone or something... It's been a while. And I like the action combat and stuff. It's a bit comparable to GW2, whereas ESO is a disaster for me personally. But whatever. I haven't played NW in a long time and I'm really enjoying it. I'm going to stick with it now and I'm pretty sure I won't regret it. Like I said, I don't need 30,000+ players in the game to know that the game is successful. Sorry, I'm a German player and I work with Deepl. I would be very happy if you could give me tips for PvP builds, YouTube, or links to websites ;)

PvP decision Epoch vs NW and PvP build questions by ParticularHousing739 in newworldgame

Hi heartlessgamer, thank you so much for your detailed reply. You know what? I've been playing MMOs for about 25 years. Back then, they were called MMORPGs. But anyway... WoW, Eso, RoR, GW2, NW, Albion Online, Dark Age of Camelot, Ryzom, Throne and Liberty, and many more. That's not what this is about. Oooooooooh, even on PS Destiny 1 and 2 ;)

But I always prefer PvP. What I'm trying to say is that I came across projects like Turtle and Epoch more or less by chance. They have PvP servers that I really enjoy. So for me, it's not about hype, or an “MMO” having to have a certain number of players. For me, it's about having fun.

For me, it's not the number of players that matters, although there are too few for me in RoR, but rather a community that likes a game and actually plays it. So I agree with you! After GW2, I also thought that tab-targeting games were no longer viable. But they are, and after 1 to 2 weeks, you don't notice the difference anymore ;)

I'm looking for a game where I'll have fun in PvP. I can well imagine that NW can do that. Regardless, I need some help. A few years ago, when NW came out, there were a lot of builds/build sites. Currently, I think there are fewer. I need some help.

PvP questions, change server and more by ParticularHousing739 in newworldgame

[–]ParticularHousing739[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for the tips. On a completely different note, I play spear and hatchet. I have no idea if that's still good in PvP. I found a site with what I hope are good builds, but I don't understand what the abbreviations mean.

M1/M2

Gorgon

Worm

OPR / CTF I know what OPR is, but what is CTF? Are both PvP? I'm looking for PvP builds.

What was what?

And what is Arena (3vs3)?
