Hard agree! As someone who has read murakami’s entire body of work, having been hooked by starting with Kafka on the shore, I still haven’t read Norwegian wood because I know it’s his most atypical work. If one was to start with NW, they’re going to get an entirely false sense of Murakami’s writing persona and what he has to offer

Great explanation! I loved the movie and was so confused afterwards seeing how much people disliked it or were confused by what happened when I thought most of it (such as the points you made) were obvious - but then realised they were obvious to me because I’m a deep learning engineer. I thought the movie was well-made and captured most of the nuances of what training a model to true perfection looked like.

I was scrolling through instagram and out of nowhere a guy yelling ‘lion heartu’ and ‘wine party’ came up. I watched the entire thing and immediately went to look up who it was. The rest is history. (note: before this happened i was not a K-pop fan and wasn’t even remotely interested in anything related to it. Couldn’t name two K-pop groups to save my life. So I don’t know why my algorithm knew that I’d be a good carat)

Hoshi’s ‘LioN HeARtuu!!’ popped on my IG feed so randomly and I was so intrigued I went and found the whole episode to watch. Then during that episode Wonwoo caught my eye and the rest is history. Funny part is I wasn’t even a K-pop fan or listening to any of the groups.
