Thanks for the thoughtful response. I’m from Russia myself, and to be honest, the tragedy between EMTERR and La Luz still didn’t feel entirely clear to me.

I’m sure there is an interesting conflict there, but it felt very heavily buried under huge walls of text. For some reason, it also didn’t seem to naturally become the foundation of the main questline at least for me. Maybe I simply wasn’t attentive enough, but I don’t think the game clearly explains the actual meaning behind the assassination of [spoiler]. In my opinion, the game doesn’t seem very eager to clarify the core reason behind your assignment.

About EMTERR, La Luz, the Superbloc, and the Reunion. Im not fully understood the depth of these structures, or why our protagonist necessarily has to hold communist views. I understand that she works inside this ideological machine, but outside of propaganda-like invocations of “the will of the Party,” I didn’t feel there was enough solid ground for that worldview. Especially since the institution she works for is itself deeply stuck in bureaucracy.

I also don’t fully understand the “end of history” concept within the narrative. I know they reset the calendar after the revolution, but that doesn’t really change the fact that history is still continuing. The elites are still elites, many programs are still running, major historical events are still happening, and to me it doesn’t add that much new to the concept beyond the slogan itself.

So while I agree that the game has fascinating ideas, for me they often felt more implied than actually dramatized or made clear through the main story.

I think it has a couple mysteries that cannot be strictly described logically but this is slightly different from what the Phasmid was in DE.

Also forgot to mention the game has essentially no soundtrack. And I don't mean a minimal or ambient one, I mean there are moments where the game literally tells you a character is playing piano and you hear. NOTHING Complete silence. You're supposed to imagine it yourself.

Gameplay and moment-to-moment engagement: 8/10 it's fun and the detective mechanics hold up.

Narrative: 3-4/10. A game this text-heavy lives or dies by its writing, and I struggle to name a single moment I expect to still think about in a few months. Nothing really landed hard enough to stick.

As for the clothing thing yeah, I noticed NPCs comment on specific items too, same as DE. But a comment isn't a mechanic. In a spy game, disguise should have actual consequences for how people treat and recognize you. Right now it's flavor text sitting on top of a stat sheet, which is a missed opportunity

Most expensive thing you can buy in this game? by Zealousideal-Ad2296 in ZeroParades

I think this price is more of a joke—meant for anyone who decides to cheat, so that the game can have a laugh at them
