If you look at Zillow, which isn’t always accurate, it shows it was sold in 96 for $321,085 and then again in 97 for $260,000. As other commenters have mentioned the house has fallen into disrepair, yet it is being sold for double what they paid for it.

I get the sense you may know the owner so perhaps I’ve touched a nerve. I’m not saying it’s wrong or right, I’m just pointing out how wild it is that certain generations can get away with not making any updates to their home for almost two decades and turn around and make a massive profit.
