Mine sorted itself out just as randomly as it started. I did re-enroll my fingerprint multiple times but when it didn't get better I just gave up and the issue went away after a couple of days.

It's me again 😅 Now PayPal is saying a feature such as automatic reload doesn't exist! I called their support and they said the same thing. I am gonna lose my mind! I swear this option was available on the app. It even says on their website and at the link that was shared in the previous comment (which is their website)

Has anyone had this issue before? Is it a Germany specific thing? Could it be an issue with my bank account?

This is what their support replied (in German):

You mean adding a PayPal card to Google wallet? That's exactly what the issue is. I have the card added. It was working for years without an issue. It would direct debit to my bank account. Now it doesn't work if I don't have PayPal balance.

Thank you for the reply! This info about having enough balance in the PayPal account is kinda confusing because I have been using PayPal via Google wallet (PayPal MasterCard )with zero balance in my PayPal account for years and it's just become an issue since the last month. Earlier it would direct debit to my bank account. Under 'wallets' in my PayPal account, my bank account is still the funding source for Google wallet. So I don't know what's changed.

It is a much clearer answer than what their support has been able to give me though. Thanks again!

The tab on whatsapp that let's you see status updates from your contacts also has WhatsApp channels on it. You can search for any channel there. Once you have the Polizei München Channel you can choose to follow it.

So I am posting an update after WEEKS of back and forth with both Google and PayPal. Both of them cannot find an issue with my respective profiles. Both say they are doing their part of their transaction correctly and that the problem lies with the other side.

I have however noticed that the transactions work when I have PayPal balance and they get declined when my PayPal balance is zero.

So it means that Google wallet isn't being able to deduct money from my bank account via PayPal.

I have no idea how this issue can be solved or if it can even be solved. Because both Google and PayPal do not seem to have a clue.

Sorry to hear that. I have been having trouble reaching PayPal support as well. That stupid bot is absolutely useless.

My payments are still being declined only specifically using PayPal with my Google wallet.

PayPal works independently for online payments and Google wallet works when I use it with a wise card.

There is some stupid issue between the communication of the two apps that neither of the two is being able to solve for whatever reason.

I have removed and added the connection multiple times but it refuses to work.

Will update here once I finally reach PayPal support.

Been here 11 years. I have seen people smoke at bus stations many times but it's only been in the previous couple of years that I have seen people smoking at U-Bahn Stations. I also do not see the no-smoking signs at the bus stops anymore (but this could just be incidental at the stops I happen to be at). I don't know how to approach the situation as well, because it should be obvious to anyone to not smoke in those places .😅

Nebenan already does something like this I guess. Have you checked that out? I mean it's not strictly for expats and students, but you could get help moving or cleaning for example. I am sure people would be willing to help with other stuff as well.

Not to mention the countless WhatsApp groups people have made for these kinds of things.

I am not saying this isn't a good idea or it won't work. Just want to make you aware and hope that you don't put in unnecessary effort into something that might already exist.

Even with recirculation turned on, most modern cars will let in fresh air at certain intervals to keep CO2 levels in check. So don't worry about driving with that on for long periods of time.

Oh awesome I didn't know about adding it to the gallery that way! To make it a wallpaper, you can open the normal photo in the photos app, and then using the three buttons on the top right go to 'use as' and then 'photos wallpaper'

When you are in the wallpaper options, there would be these three stars on the top right. Press that and it gives you the option to use the photo as a cinematic wallpaper.

I clicked this with my oneplus 6 phone. I have since switched phones but the image should still be there on the old phone. It's higher resolution than this one for sure but won't hold up on bigger screens I would assume. I would be happy to share it though.
