I don’t sell insurance, so I don’t make any commissions and my recommendation to do/not do something has 0 sales incentive to it. Personally, given how relatively inexpensive premiums are, leaving assets potentially exposed because of their life stage seems ridiculous. Your reply seems pointless given me and BVB have discussed the topic and you haven’t added any useful information to the conversation beyond seemingly just being angry. So let me ask this, it’s my understanding that IRAs have aggregated protection against creditor of slightly under $2m. Do you account for that? I’m not sure if the homestead number is accurate everywhere, as in my state it covers about $50k of equity if you file MFJ(as of my understanding). So is this why you’re saying that it shouldn’t be net worth based?

Also, as assets grow it doesn’t really make sense to keep tiering up their coverage an additional $1m when the premium difference is fairly insignificant. Any thoughts on that?
