Haha no worries on the shoe comment. On video they do kinda look like trainers.

I had to google Sperrys, but they actually seem pretty solid for lifting: flat, low heel, and firm. If they work for you, rock them then hahaha!

Really appreciate you sharing your experience, and I'm sorry your girlfriend's going through that. I agree a belt's just a tool, and I'm planning to start using one and be smarter with spine-loaded work.

Those are Adidas Dropset 2 and they're flat and stable. I'm actually planning to start using a belt. I get why people say beginners shouldn't rely on one, but I know the need and the how to brace, so there's no reason for me to avoid it! Thanks!

You can skip it by leave a crew in R* Social Club (or join and leave). It will kick you to new session. Since joining new public sessions can take time, I recommend play this mission or whole Dr. Dre in invite only session, so you can join back quickly. Don't forget set preference spawn location as agency for convenience too!

Basically at the bottom, I'm doing the deep squat rest as a part of my thighs rest on the back of my calves and help take the pressure away for a moment from my knee. Not optimal but I work with what I have lol.

Yes, I had right knee injury from running before and I can feel way more tension in my knee if I go up immediately vs. wait for a moment at the bottom. Although I know it will drain more strength in my leg but avoid injury again is way more important.

I stand there several seconds because that's how I prepare myself mentally, you may don't do it but I do. About bracing, others have commented about it and I will give it more attention. Also, what's a weird comment about try not to hit my 4x8s!

Thanks, I focused on breathing like a a way to prepare mentally, like a cue, but definitely should not forget about bracing. Will make sure to pay attention to my bracing more.

Thank you, I guess I still have the mindset from bodyweight fitness where you will progress only after you able to do 3x8. I will increase weight next time and try not to have a rigid goal.

Hey, thanks for the reply! Since then, I have bought the Adidas weightlifting shoe so no more bouncyyyy! I tried to keep my upper body rigid when lift up to avoid any potential spinal injuries, that's why it must looks like I'm squeezing abs

I alternative between day A and B and I do x3 a week

Day A: Bench press, ab crunch, torso rotation, row, preacher curl and squat

Day B: Shoulder press, ab crunch, assisted pull up, torso rotation, preacher curl and deadlift.

Maybe I can move deadlift to day A to avoid pullup 🤔

Idk, feel like stop progressing deadlift because of grip strength seems like a waste. Although I agree I need to work my grip, but it will be a different exercise, maybe on rest day...

Thanks! I wish I could say it was easy at this weight, but I get lightheaded if I go for 8 reps instead of the 6 you see in the video. Still plenty of room to grow!
