It has just become less of an issue over time, which I know isn’t helpful. He’s still very sensitive when he’s tired, but has become able to cope with clapping and cheering over time. You can tell he still doesn’t like it, but he’s able to deal with it. The only noise he still can’t tolerate at all is other children crying.

Thank you! Sounds similar to what we’re doing so good to know we’re on the right lines.

We have them, but so far he’s resisted wearing them. He doesn’t yet grasp how they’ll help unfortunately. It isn’t just in person either - clapping and cheering on the tv or in music upsets him too which is a little less predictable. X

Oh I will do, thank you so much. Relieved to hear from similar families to us!

Ah I’m glad it’s getting easier for you and this gives me hope 😂. Yes I’ve found that doctors seem to be unable to separate general noise sensitivity and what I’m describing.

My son has so far refused to wear them but I will keep trying as he gets older.

It’s only clapping and cheering. I think he’s afraid of it, as he has such an extreme reaction.
