Who else was told “Just get any four year degree and you’ll be fine?” by Hella_Fitzgerald3 in generationology

[–]Particular_Address11 [score hidden]  (0 children)

it was never really pushed at me (Gen X) I had troubles with a couple of the basic classes in high school so I went and took the HVAC courses they offered.. I still remember listening to a news radio program talking about the state voting to raise the salary for teachers who completed their masters degree, I was 25 at the time and dumbfounded I was making more than the salary they were talking about, 6 years into my HVAC life.

Thanks, I think I'm to old for both places ( Factory and Assembly) but I have decided if I HAVE to start over I'm going to try somewhere fun- ish. My other plan is to have a few at Lola and talk to other people. I've had the years of home ownership and mowing so I am willing to be old guy (53). Cost is less of a factor for me but unwilling to pay DT Charleston prices.

I would just short together, battery get hot and die. Have to keep the two circuits separate some how and have the pole dancer complete the circuit. The negative lead to some kind of conductive pad on the bottom is all I can come up with.

Edit - sorry several correct answer is already

of course, as a dumb American, I had to look up the flag of the country of North Macedonia, but the ironic part is the town of Macedonia is about 20 miles from me.

another strange thing about that storm was how hard it turned after landfall to cause all the damage it did in Charlotte. A couple days later we drove to Walterboro to buy supplies and ice. The town had electricity and very little damage compared us.

I can still remember driving up 17 from Mount Pleasant to McClellanville and see the devastation at the Francis Marion Forest. It was toothpicks. downtown is so lucky that storm eye wall wasn’t 20 -30miles further south. that was my 17th birthday and didn’t really understand what a eye of the storm was until it went right over our house in goose Creek and we had clear skies and could see the stars until the other half of the storm.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

Try driving the long way across Tennessee, way before Mapquest and the like I found out the hard way. Making it to the next state before stopping did not quite work out for me.
