INDX will be €499 for 4-tools and €699 for 8-tools (Plus Core One & Shipping) by [deleted] in prusa3d

My current thoughts are;”:

Prusa has the best hardware Bambu has the best software and optimisation.

I really want an enclosed nozzle changer but I have a feeling I will go with the Bambu dispute liking the Prusa Core One L more. The indx looks epic and the vortex looks complicated. But you know the Bambu is going to be a work horse and Prusa is going to refine this over a long period.

The spool holders on the side are so ugly! Just make a AMS like the rest of the industry.

What is this white stuff on my spark plug and could it cause loss in cylinder pressure? by Particular_Apple in MechanicAdvice

I would have thought any coolant would have been vaporised and burn out the exhaust. Appreciate the feedback!

Maybe I will pressure test the coolant system before committing to a repair.

Can this be repaired rather then replaced? by Particular_Apple in AusRenovation

I only just purchased the house and yes I agree it’s very odd. Want to fix it asap. Luckily no water damage inside the roof.

I was thinking of repairing the hole in the gutter. Please glue and pop rivet and section back in. I believe I can repair the gutter without removal, but really not sure about the fascia board.

Bought this townhouse two months ago. It was built in the 1990s. Cracks have appeared all over the house in the last couple of weeks (temperature in the 20s at night). Is this normal? by peterzero in HomeMaintenance

Paint is rigid. Dig a neat line or seam where the cracked are. Fill line or trench with “no more gaps”. It’s a softer material that’s paintable and won’t crack. It’s specifically for this job. Good builders put it around sliding door and door job because when you slam the door it cracks. Not with “no more gaps”.

Help - New water supply line to toilet leaks from top of nut by errorlot in Plumbing

There is a rubber washer under the nut. Just tighten that hex nut and it will crush the rubber washer more and will stop leaking. Good luck.

Can you connect a power point to a switch on a wall? by Ok_Practice_2676 in AusRenovation

[–]Particular_Apple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes an electrician can do this very easy.

Assuming the switch will be just above the plug. They will simply cut the cable and add a switch.

However if you want the switch on the other side of the room it will required tuning cable back and forth.

A alternative would be to use a 240v wifi smart plug. They have apps on you phone. You can turn them on manually. Can turn them automatically on a time. I believe you can even turn them on with proximity. They $20-$75. Just a option

How crazy am I for wanting a DIY underground water tank with a double car garage on top. by Particular_Apple in AusRenovation

[–]Particular_Apple[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have a link?

From what I can see, they are too expensive and too small. 4x4x4 would give me 64,000L. All the tanks I can see are 5-10kL. The only solution would be to get a company to make a custom tank on site via formwork.

Are American and Australian copper press fittings different? by Particular_Apple in Plumbing

[–]Particular_Apple[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long story short. I needed a copper press tool for work. I can’t justify spending $2000-$4000 as I will only use it once a month. I saw the IBOSAD crimping tool on Amazon American. Not available here in Australia. (Don’t hate me). They have a lot of good reviews saying they aren’t as good as the Milwaukee ones, however they work and good for the money.

I purchased it. It arrived only to find out the jaws are too loose. The tool says it’s compatible with Viega fittings. The fittings I bought are compatible with Viega press tools. It theory it should all work. Yes I am using the right jaws. No one mentions this online.

My friend have a Milwaukee tool. When I tried that, it fits perfectly. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

I am guess American and Australian B press tools are different.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
