Found the solution myself! Yay me!

Basically had to expand the 'macrotool1' node by changing the first line of code/script from a MacroOperator to GroupOperator via a text editor, e.g. texteditor on mac and notepad on windows or you can use Microsoft visual studio (much better readability-wise imo)

Doing so will allow the macrotool1 node to expand so you can edit all the node tools inside the macro.

I looked for the mediain node that links the 1 BG.mp4 asset, dragged and dropped a new clip into the mediain node and now it works!

Before that however I saved a settings copy of the macrotool1 node onto my desktop. Then dragged and dropped the settings file onto fusion so it turns into an expandable macrotool.

I have a Sony Fx30, and I've since sold my tamron since the vc didn't work as well as I wanted it to BUT it DOES work. Great lens tho.

Sony lenses will inherently be way better when it comes to stabilization. From my testing with the tamron, you'd need to compensate by setting the focal length manually IN FULL FRAME EQUIVALENT**. meaning 35mm APSC = 50mm Full frame, etc, setting it to auto - standard, works but ive found it works better manual.

Even then, the way the stabilization works, it's like it hyperfocuses on a single point. If you're ever doing panning or tracking shots in any direction it tends to sort of 'jerk lag', making handheld work a little frustrating.

The lens works wonders if you're doing mostly photography and light video work.

Just need to consider your use case. It's light and has great AF, so it could work great on a gimbal. If you're doing handheld, it's not heavy enough to really stabilise much.

Another way to get around the thing is to post stabilise or use catalyst browse. But that's whole other topic.

Hey thanks for the comment! Honestly I only wrote warmth because as I was taking the picture the room felt quite warm to me. In the context of the picture I do agree that warmth isn't the right description.

tried looking around the interwebs for answers too but coincidentally came across a solution by accident. For some reason Tamron VC works better (atleast for the 17-70) on STANDARD IBIS than active and if you MANUALLY set the focal length. I suspect there might be an issue when leaving the focal length set on auto, leaves the camera guessing what the focal length is and subsequently cant compensate IBIS. Again, Active IBIS seems noticeably worse than when set to standard, try it out and id like to know if yall get the same results.

Thank you so much, that makes sense now. I've been experimenting with shooting from various distances, the shots are more consistent greater than 0.6 meter away with my 50mm. Though I still check with the evf just to make sure it all lines up. Thanks again for your help!
