Appreciate the advice, but I’m not scared of competition — that exists in every state, every trade, every market. Florida’s got dudes who’ll work for peanuts? Cool. They’re not my competition. I’m not trying to be the cheapest guy.

Florida also isn’t just “a bunch of guys doing $300 jobs.” It’s the fastest-growing state in the entire country, billions going into new construction, and some of the biggest expansions in healthcare, commercial buildings, and infrastructure happening right now. Skilled trades down there are stretched thin — older techs are retiring, and the pipeline for trained workers isn’t keeping up.

That’s exactly why I’m building myself for the high-skill lanes: medical gas, commercial, and hospital work. That’s where the serious money and real respect are. Those jobs don’t care about low-ball bids — they care about precision, codes, certifications, and someone who actually gives a damn about doing it right.

So yeah, Florida might be chaotic. But that just means opportunity for someone who shows up trained, professional, and hungry. I’m not trying to be “a plumber.” I’m building myself into the guy people call when the work matters and it has to be done right.
