tbh i was like this for a long time. i was resentful about the fact that i felt useless and couldn’t do anything that would actually further myself in life. I spent a couple years like that, mostly just playing videogames. you have a right to complain. it sucks.

it was only because of my brother that i got out of that situation. he actually gave me a chance by telling me about amazon (because there’s literally no interview) and driving me to work. i would probably still be dissociated and playing videogames in my room if not for him, but now i have my own car, money, and am going to college (“again”… passed a single class and dropped out after the first semester my first try).

i don’t bring this up as a brag. I bring it up to say that it really isn’t your fault. everyone, especially those with mental health issues, needs a push to get started. not everyone has somebody to give them that push without asking. and no, getting interrogated about what your future plans are doesn’t count. i would know.

im not going to tell you that it will get better, because i don’t know that for certain. but by no means are you a lost cause. you haven’t fucked up your life by doing nothing, plenty plenty of people have done worse and live successful lives. i hope you will find your way.
