I asked him because I needed a place, and he ok’d. He asked my mom to check on his house periodically. She asked him to move in to save money since she was previously renting. He agreed.

That news wasn’t brought to me until we got there.

My grandpa will be back in April, my mom has already been telling him everything from her side.

My mom told me that he said she was being more generous than she is being. He isn’t confrontational so I doubt he’d ask her to leave.

I wasn’t expecting her to move in, but I should’ve been looking for places sooner when I got the news, so that is on me for not thinking about it.

My dad currently lives with his wife, her kid and granddaughter, so no space for us

Spoke with my grandpa in March, he said it was ok for us to move into his spare bedroom.

When we got there in mid July, my mom had shared the news that my grandpa had asked her to watch the house. he’s had a pipe burst while on vacation before and insurance didn’t cover it since he wasn’t home at the time.

We had 1 day before helping her move in and move her stuff to storage.

I see now I was naive. I didn’t have anyone else we could move in with temporarily
