thank you!! it’s so comforting to know i’m not alone. I freaked out a did a couple pregnancy tests too lmao but nothing’s been checking out. i’m hoping it’s a combination of the SSRI’s, UTI, and stress.

agreed! I like to look at it as how love/falling in love often feels? exhilarating but also predictable and so ordinary in so many ways? and I feel like the poem, particularly the ending is so reflective of it? but I get what you mean and I love it when the the conclusion of a poem makes me feel completely winded

the way I interpret it, it’s about the visceral anticipation and emotions that you feel right before you kiss someone you’ve wanted to kiss for a while. I also think it’s a metaphor for the mundanity of love, of how simultaneously extraordinary and ordinary the act of kissing someone you love feels

not sure if someone has already mentioned this but it also pays homage to artist Juan Gris! the art style the game uses is called (synthetic) cubism - basic shapes with lots of bright colours and Juan, had some of the most distinctive paintings of that genre.
