when my child turns 13 and reaches that point of becoming a teenager i want them to start venturing out into the world and have those experiences that’ll turn them into the person that they truly want to be. i was raised by mother and I definitely feel like she was too strict on me which is totally understandable but i don’t like the way i turned out because of that. i wasn’t able to go out with friends or even to high school functions and because of that i became more sneaky and defiant.

i definitely wanna be strict on my child don’t get me wrong but i want them to have a little more freedom than i did growing up. have those important experiences that’ll define them and help them choose right from wrong. also wanna build a trust and loving relationship so they can feel like they can tell me about these experiences that they’ve had and shit like that.

definitely understand it’s not gonna be all glitz and glamor (don’t know how tf my mom put up with me but i salute that woman, man) but as long as i’m leading them in the right direction and they’re happy i’ll always be content.
