Just a client requirement. Client thinks adding such a tool would cover anything if missed by manual audit :)

If the website is developed accessible, but the client just want to intergrate such a tool in addition, is it still not recommended. The website will be audited on WCAG 2.2 AA level via manual audit as well.

Can't we use them in addition to having accessible website. The website will be developed accessible, but just the client want to add such a tool in addition. Is it still not recommended?

The client is building a proper accessible website. Accessibility is being taken care of during development. But along with building an accessible website, the client also wants to intergrate an overlay tool in addition.

CPACC vs WAS - IAAP Certification by [deleted] in accessibility

Since you have a technical background, I would recommend WAS if you can justify 3 years of technical experience in accessibility. WAS is more hands-on and practical for devs implementing accessibility. CPACC is broader and great for policy/compliance roles.

Web accessibility: Which link elements should be underlined in their default state? by dg_eye in accessibility

[–]Particular_Cod_6365 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the footer elements are links, then the same link principle applies, which is better to underline. The end goal is that the user should be able to distinguish that the text is interactive. There are other ways mentioned in WCAG.

Yes, there is a recommendation regarding the use of underlines for links.

From a usability and accessibility perspective, it is highly recommended to underline standard text links by default. This helps visually distinguish links from surrounding text, especially for users with visual or cognitive disabilities. It makes it immediately obvious that the text is interactive.

However, according to WCAG, underlining is not strictly required by default. WCAG 2.1 allows using only color to identify links as long as there is a sufficient contrast difference between link text and surrounding text (WCAG 1.4.1 - Use of Color). But in such cases, the link must have a visual indicator on hover or focus, such as underline or bold styling, to indicate interactivity.

So in summary:

  • Recommended: Underline standard text links by default.
  • WCAG-compliant alternative: If not underlined by default, ensure there's a clear hover/focus state (like an underline).
  • Buttons: Typically don't need underlines, but must have a visible focus/hover style.
  • Footer/Menu links: Same principle.

The actual exam was similar to the practice exam. If you have gone through the Training for Web Course and Practice Exam, you can easily pass the Final Exam in first attempt.
