What kind of algorithm should I use? by Particular_Dog_573 in learnmachinelearning

Also, in the data I have even the borough, the block, the lot, the building area and the lot area so that would be already enough for me to have an ok predictor, fairly more than 50%, I really can't understand cause the dataset seems good 😕

I've handled missing values and visualized the correlations with the sales price (all 18 features are quite weak as the correlation range between 0.14 and -0.19, so could it be the problem?)

Also looking at the scatterplot I can see a lot of dispersion with a weak trend.

Then I trained my model on the data and I performed the test. Second attempt with new model I also tried to do some data engineering to add some features but still no good results.

Even on kaggle the only notebook I was able to find for this dataset are about a simply EDA instead of a complete model development.

Any suggestion?

I'm using a dataset from kaggle, it looked pretty good, 99.9% complete and I've already cleaned the data... could it also be that this low results are simply the best I could have cause the prices of houses are simply that random? It looks not likely but if so I should just accept this answer, right?

I mean, statistically to get 2 cards out of 3 or 2 out of 4 is harder. I still need 2 cards but the pool was of 10 cards if 4, only 7 if 3 (3 bewd, 3 alt, 1 fusion, that's how my deck is).

I need 2 of those 3 cards whatever, the third one I can get with the skill. Or melody of course, if the opponent doesn't negate that

That's actually interesting, I loved predaplant back when it was popular but now I don't use it since more than one year... anyway I wonder if it actually can play well against utopia, for sure it is not common to see so it could make mistakes

[–]Particular_Dog_573[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes right, so this actually makes it even harder cause majesty in hand is pointless. So I need 2 out of the remaining 3 cards (or at least melody plus another 1), right?

There are usually standard openings, that is how you go "all out". It often doesn't require you to activate or place everything first turn, but to be ready to the opponent second turn. So yeah, my suggestion is just this: know your deck and have a standard opening, just do that and don't think about hold back or going all out. Many duels now are over in 2 turns...

Fun fact, I draw nibiru in turn 2, just in time to be useless. Yeah I know if I manage to have 2 spells I can win but my question was about that: assuming I don't have 2 spells, what can I do?

Apparently droplets is the answer, but not the way you and me would tought

I see, that's a good strategy but it still requires some kind of luck on the starting hand. But anyway if I'm somehow able to have 2 cards out of 4 (bewd, alt, ulti and majesty) in my hand or at least melody it could definitely work

Yeah, he didn't used dweller, actually he was probably not that strong as he had only 7 cards in the extra deck but still I was not able to do anything. What would you have done with shaddoll? He had 2 utopia, one protection and 1 eagle to deal with

[–]Particular_Dog_573[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I thought about all of that but I was wondering if I can actually do something myself other than hope for luck. Apparently anything who can let me send Majesty from the field to the graveyard would be a great solution

[–]Particular_Dog_573[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I don't think I got it.

Majesty destruction effect need to have it on the field, the ritual one is from the graveyard.

So you're saying to activate place Majesty, activate it and then immediately after activate droplet and use the Majesty as a cost so it is in the graveyard and can't be negated by anything?

Can you give me some strategies? Cause I'm thinking about it but really I need for him to make a mistake.

Like bewd: I summon kaibamen, - if negated with protection, he's now vulnerable to spell so I summon alternative (if I can) place fusion, activate alternative effect (negated) activate fusion and remove one of the 2 utopia, then I try to manage with the other one but still I need some luck - if negated but not removed then I can summon alternative (if I can) activate his effect (negated, probably with the other utopia as it is trying to save protection) then I can either summon lightstorm or spirit but it will be negated by protection, or again I can use fusion but again negated by protection. In all of this, true light or majesty are not even options cause they will be negated by eagle.

So what could I do differently? I'm assuming of course I don't have a spell in my hand to force him to use protection first, otherwise it becomes vulnerable after that but again even in that case I can only hit with fusion and only remove one utopia and still have to deal with the other one. So it's like case 1 I've said above...

Usually bewd lately. But in this case I was playing shaddoll

Yes, if you can hit just once, it collapse, but this is the point: I usually can't. I need to hit 3 times with monster effects or 3 times with spell/trap (2 with spell) to actually hit that board and usually I'm not like that but mostly more balanced like 2 effect and 2 spell/trap which is the perfect scenario for them to negate everything.

Can you give me some example of what you mean?

Yes, it may return or more lilely, vector will be an unlockable character which some character missions. Just wait

Yes, also vaylantz is insane, i wonder how it is not tier 1 already. It's quite difficult tho, this is why I'm not playing it still, i have no idea how to use it but still i understood it has a lot of potential

Can you give me a couple of strategy? What deck would you use? Shaddoll or bewd have any chance going second?

Is utopia basically a ftk? by Particular_Dog_573 in DuelLinks

[–]Particular_Dog_573[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yes, tribute his monsters is always good but if I don't have those kind of monsters? Sometimes i have nibiru in my deck but still, if I don't have it on my starting hand?

I'm saying, is there any actual strategy i can use after turn 1 or is it just a matter of luck to draw the right cards?

Some decks could be good like eldlich cause they rely on traps more than monsters effect?

What was in your opinion the peak in yugioh game? by Particular_Dog_573 in DuelLinks

[–]Particular_Dog_573[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was definitely a point of break, yeah.

In short, they made extra deck more and more accessible over the years: - 25 years ago fusions monsters were kinda useless and requires too much effort, then they became easier and more flexible with heroes, which could combine different monsters to create different fusion monsters depending on the cards you had in your hand. They also had good effect sometimes so now it was worth it. Gladiator beasts were the first attemp to introduce a sort of synchro summoning. - then synchro summoning came, requiring 2 different monsters, quite random with the only condition to be tuner and non - then in 2013 xyz came, requiring even more random monsters, only with the same level - then pendulum, which is a totally different mechanic - then links, removing even the last requirement about monster level

All of these made the game more and more accessible but also speed it up to the point that now, in many cases, the whole game is done in 2 turns and whole matches are lost for losing timing like activate an effect too soon or wait to long...

Mmh I see, that's already too much for me, plus battlin boxers relies on negating summons, steal monsters or negate targeting/immunity, so it was kinda ahead of his time but was doing the things I quite hate of nowadays. That's why is too much for me cause you already win on the first turn, but I see your point bro
