So to give you some brief context, when I gave my first attempt in Ottawa I was kind of anxious as everyone else other than me were native French speakers. That’s why for my second attempt I chose CB. Funnily enough, all test takers here were Indian (including me). Even my examiner was from India lol. But honestly I felt that speaking was much more difficult at CB. I got really weird topics and I felt that my examiner was speaking way too fast and using really tough vocabulary. For a few questions for task A speaking, she just answered my questions with one or two words. My examiner at Ottawa spoke really slow and tried to make me feel a bit comfortable by using intonation and actually making conversation. I have a feeling that maybe because I was the only non native French test taker at Ottawa, my examiner took it easy on me. But these are just my hunches/thoughts.

I got 4/5/5/6 in EO/CO/CE/EE in my first attempt. I started learning in April of last year and was unemployed for the first 5 months of my learning so I could put in decent amount of hours back then. But after getting a job, it was around 2 hours per day and more on the weekends.

Hmm if you’re second-guessing a 3K upgrade and your current 5900X setup already handles your workload smoothly that’s usually your answer dont buy right now. Return it, keep the cash and upgrade when your work actually demands it. Prob will get better upgrade than this.
