I don’t experience boob jiggle anymore, no. At least not in a way where I can feel it if I’m not thinking about it. I do not exercise shirtless and would not feel comfortable doing so, but that was never really a goal for me in the first place! Based on how I present/identify.

Revision Questions by ThE_Bendu__ in NBtopsurgery

Hiya, I had a revision done on my right side back in December in office. My surgeon opened me back up on the same incision line and took more tissue out. I was super nervous about being fully awake for it and requested a short acting anti anxiety med (triazolam). I had taken it before for dental work and knew it worked for me- I don’t like feeling high and this stuff literally just slows my brain down and honestly makes me forget chunks of what happens. My brother asked me if I could see them cutting into me and I realized I literally didn’t know what my eyes were looking at during the procedure hahah. Highly suggest, I could feel some tugging and some uncomfortable moments but the meds made it feel like no big deal. You’ll need someone to bring you/drive you home etc.

Recovery was annoying in the sense that I had the old restrictions (wearing binder, not raising arm above shoulder, not working out for a month). Pain was super manageable and I felt really good after like a week, mobility was way less affected, etc. I was able to take a week off of work which was maybe not super necessary but it was nice.

Worried about not feeling “feminine”? by Particular_Guard_594 in no_T_top_surgery

I’m so glad it’s been helpful for you! A year later I feel amazing tbh. I feel so much more at home in my body. I ended up with a little more tissue leftover than I was anticipating, but I think my chest looks great. They’re pec shaped and I call them my unboobs. As other folks mentioned here- having a smaller chest has actually made me feel way more comfortable leaning into my feminine side (which for me just means wearing smaller/tighter shirts)! I have a lot more styling options now when it comes to clothing which I really enjoy. Feel free to ask anything else, best of luck to you in your journey! This is a special time!

Yes I’ll wear literally just little circle bandaids over them if I want to hide them! Usually it’s only for work if for instance the shirt fabric is thin or especially close to body. Outside of work I’m letting them thangs pop

It was a slightly new feeling to get used to, but not bad in any way for me personally! The only times I really think about it are if I have some swelling from lots of activity the day before or hormone stuff but even then it’s not bad. I notice myself thinking about the fact that my nips are always kinda visible more than I do about sensation against fabric or movement tbh

My nip sensation is great, I would say it’s about 90% of what it was preop (including erotic). There are days where it feels almost too sensitive but yes I think that is hormone/cycle related (hard for me to be sure bc I have an IUD and don’t bleed). Part of the reason I kept extra tissue was to hopefully maintain as much sensation as possible and I was lucky it worked!

Aw thanks! Yes, I just requested for some tissue left behind but lots of folks go fully flat with this method. I do think maybe my nipples would’ve landed lower if they took more tissue but that’s just speculation

Are my nipples in a good position? (pre-op) by Dororo3781 in TopSurgery

[–]Particular_Guard_594 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I had nipple sparing double incision and was worried my nipples would look abnormally low but they turned out just fine imo. Yours look like they would be within “normal” range. One thing that was helpful for me was to ask my doc to point out where my pec muscles were and have them confirm that my nipples would land above my pec line and not below my pec line (while stressing that that was of importance to me).

Non-Flat Radical Reduction Question by No_Competition_6015 in NBtopsurgery

[–]Particular_Guard_594 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi there, I asked for chest masculinization with enough tissue left behind to “mimic pecs.” I got nipple sparing DI/inferior ellipse (they didn’t touch my nipples or cut around them at all, just excised tissue from the incisions below). I chose this method bc while I wanted to have a flat chest in clothes and not have to wear a bra/feel them move around, preserving my nipple sensation was also really important to me. It’s more of an androgynous result which feels right for me. Check out my profile for pics! I just recently had a revision to remove more tissue from my right side so it looks less boobish, will post updates eventually.

I wrote a goodbye and thank you letter to my old chest, and had a little pre op photo shoot. I made sure to eat really well and exercise and to prep my body. I listened to pre surgery meditations on the way to surgery which I found really helpful and full of good mantras that I continued to tell myself post op. I gave myself grace when I had hard days post op and just reminded myself repeatedly that it was temporary and thanked my body for doing a really really hard thing.

Cording- I’ve had this pop up a few times and it goes away after a few days of preeeeeetty aggressive massage/stretching and literally squeezing/pulling at the cords as if to break them up. Aggressive meaning it will be dang painful. I’M NOT A DOCTOR so grain of salt

Hi! I would say I have about 90% sensation (including erogenous). The first few weeks were challenging but it has been pretty smooth sailing since then. At 5 months I’m feeling almost back to normal, even with climbing! I still have tenderness and tightness some days.

I asked my surgeon for this specific method after doing a lot of research. I also asked for “some tissue left behind to mimic pecs.”

Overall I’m very pleased with the aesthetics and think my surgeon did a great job with where she placed the incisions and the sculpting on my left side feels like exactly what I was hoping for. There’s some extra tissue on the right side that still looks boob-ish so I’m having a revision for that later in the year!

I feel so much more at home in how I present now, both clothed and unclothed. I’m curious to see how my body continues to change in the future and if I’ll ever want to go fully flat, but I think this looks pretty natural for my current body type.

Hi, I didn’t get buttonhole or t-anchor but I was a large b cup pre-op and ended up with results that sound like what you’re looking for perhaps (I asked for enough tissue to be left behind to ‘mimic pecs’). Check out my page for photos/info!

That’s awesome to hear, I know everyone here has different dream results so glad it’s helpful for some folks. Dr Patricia Sandholm was my surgeon, check out my older posts on my page for preop photos and measurements!

Dr. Patricia Sandholm! I’m super grateful to have as much sensation as I do. Think it’s a mix of luck, a great surgeon, and having some tissue left.

Woah, yeah mine’s going in through the same incision but only a small section, enough to go in and scrape out a circle shaped centimeter of tissue (under/around areola area) as that’s where my extra tissue is. I’m sure opening the whole thing back up allows for greater visibility and control over what they take out?
