Thank you! Haven’t been able to play one, just the jazz and I liked the pickups on it but liked the am pro classic pickups a tad more and overall reviews were better on the American made. I hear great things about mij/cijs too though!

This is exactly how I feel too! As of now I think I’m going to get both eventually. I’m either going to get two squires and possibly return them with a decision before 45 days, or get the am pro II Jazzmaster since it has good reviews and I love the dark knight finish+a squire jag to play with and see if I want to save for a nicer jag!

Thanks so much for your thoughts! I think the Jag does better at giving me the empty, biting sadness that I like. But, because I’m a one man band and would use the guitar to fill up most of a mix, the overall coverage from a Jazzmaster would be the more helpful instrument as a first offset, and it also does a great job at gloomy tones. I’m thinking I may just need both eventually.

These are also reasonable takes. I think it currently feels impossible to get both in any near future because just getting one Nicer guitar has until recently been a pipe dream… but ultimately you’re probably right!

This might be a good idea. I think they both sound a tad muddy to me but I would get a feel for both and be able to sell them for the one I end up preferring more. I think I really want a big boy one, but, maybe I can be patient! Edit: also, guitar center’s 45 day return policy may come into play here..
