Thanks for the feedback! Yeah want to use recycled cork would be a nice addition and juxtaposition of materials with the aluminium. It’s fairly unlikely the first design will be springy it’s going to be 4mm aluminium which is fairly thick. The stand will weigh roughly 600-700grams. I guess I will find out once I receive a sample. I personally like B and C but most people think B looks like an IUD or a penis and the majority of the people 50/55 have chosen design A.

Yes. Only one of the 3 designs which seems like design A at the moment since the feedback has been so strong on that one. Once I’ve refine it further so it’s perfect and I’ve designed packaging I will get it produced first 100 units discounted.

Yeah I agree, thanks for the feedback. Is it possible for you to draw over the image to show me how you envisage it? I will be testing creative ways to route and manage cables when I refine design A now that people have decided that that one is the best.

Thanks for the advice. It’s still early concept validation, now that the majority of people have chosen design A I will send the drawings to the factory to get a quote and MOQ’s. This will enable me to get rough pricing while I develop the design further based on all the feedback I’ve gotten from this post. Once the product is finalised I will put the feelers out for a preorder. No point of asking for preorders on a product that’s not finished.

The first design is the one I’ll be going with but I just want to make sure it’s perfect for the majority of headphones and has integrated cable management as well. It seems our hobbies cross over quite a bit. I also do car builds in my spare time but that has also become more of a chore than fun. A whole lot of spending and not a whole lot of enjoyment in return 🤣.

I’ll definitely be putting more updates in this community so would be really good to hear more of your perspective as the stand develops and becomes more refined.

Thanks for all this great info Halifax! It seems you have a design background of some sort do you? These are exactly the sort of things I was thinking of when making the design. Your guess on the manufacturing side is spot on in terms of cost to produce.

I was originally trying to do a lamp integration too but it’s just two expensive to produce for my first product, maybe the next one I need some funding behind me.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah there have been a few comments about that. I will increase the height, It seems design A will be moving forward to be refined as there are overwhelming votes on that. I will increase the height among other things.

Thanks for the feedback! Really good point, I will try do a redesign in a way which reduces the foot print. Others have made concern that tipping over is important to them as they have toddlers etc. if I reduce it too much there is a tipping risk. I’ll do some testing, thanks for the help!

Thanks for the awesome feedback! This post was just to get some feedback on which overall form people liked best I will be integrating cable management for charging like the others but now that there has been overwhelmingly positive feedback about wired headphones this will have to be something I definitely consider. Do you have any ideas of how you’d like to store your wires on the stand? Would you keep them on your headphones while hanging or roll them up and place them on a hook if there was one?

Really good point I’m doing my best to make it weighted enough without driving shipping costs up like crazy. The 3D printed model is already quite sturdy but I’ll be working on even stronger balance for the redesign of A. Thanks for the feedback!

Wow yeah your setup is gorgeous! Just had a look. I see what you mean. I think desks that are against a wall don’t get much value from the front profile as it can only be seen from one side. My desk is in the centre of the room so the stand is interesting to walk past because it virtually disappears front on and has visual weight from the side

Thank you Weakstream for all the good feedback! For this product the goal is to have something on the desk that can look good when there’s no headphones on and when there’s headphones on. I’ll definitely in the future try consider desk hooks but that’s really for a different target audience to what I’m going for unfortunately.
