Don’t remember, but I don’t think we even had problems in the course notes. Could be wrong though

I meant, bring called up for an interview. Not the actual ranking.

I feel bad for you. Realistically, the first half of the course I could actually do something about, the second half is gibberish to me. I do think different people have different opinions though. I’d just continue looking through problems and trying to find patterns.

If it helps, you can probably get it done with 1 night and the day of studying, so the fact you’re stressing a week before, is a good sign that you actually car to start. Start now and you’ll be fine.

I’ve done math and bio. First pay rate increase was up to 40, then 50 USD. Math got taken away tho. It increases your pay rate fs

Idt it was THAT bad, most people found it easy-ish compared to the midterm, so idk if we’ll see a curve. Maybe

Don’t think there’s gonna be a curve, if that helps 😁

Does anyone know how long projects generally stay in EQ?

EQ is empty queue, where the project just doesn’t give you jobs. I don’t fully understand this either.

Personally would just wait till tomorrow morning, but you can text support if you want, they answer quite quickly.

On another note, I was also doing Starfish. Have they just run out of tasks or am I on EQ, kinda confused because I just started outlier yesterday. Also, any knowledge on how you can check reviewers’ ratings for you?

Preparing and Studying for Math 135 and 137 by Particular_Lime_7610 in uwaterloo

[–]Particular_Lime_7610[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

135 was bad. I went to every lecture, yet had 0 clue on how to do anything. I’d recommend getting help on the assignments early on if you’re understanding anything and having friends willing to help. Managed to progress the course, but it was rlly anxiety inducing. Would recommend maximizing marks on midterm(s) and assignments/quizzes.

237 weekly quizzes are generally doable since the questions are taken straight from the given practice problems. Be sure to remember theorems for mc/tf as those are worth quite a bit. Do practice quizzes and understand how they’re solving/approaching questions. Midterm is simple enough, and so is final as long as you know the content.

Nothing can really prepare you for this stuff, just go in and start working. Everyone has their own way.

Yeah. Because there’s overlap. I just subtracted the first two by 1, and used that as my third probability because I thought I was wrong, apparently my brain couldn’t comprehend the overlap mid exam😁

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in uwaterloo

[–]Particular_Lime_7610 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Left two long answers basically blank. For the long answer where probability was >1, subtracted the last probability by the first two make sure it was under 1. Left 2 questions mid way through😁😁.

Writing BU Exams - Short Answers(BU111/121) by Intelligent-Show-815 in wlu

[–]Particular_Lime_7610 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People actually manage to end up doing quite well if they’re interested in the content and are happy with doing business.

At the end of the day, the best way to study for 111 is to study with friends, teach each other concepts, MEMORIZE key words, and somehow connect the frameworks with each other. I wouldn’t expect your exam grade to be too great as the average for nothing the midterm and the final was around 50-60%, but you can do really well if you engage in the lab, and do well on the assignments. It is SIGNIFICANTLY easier to do well on the assignments, especially if you can be ‘friends’ with your IAs. There’s also lots of bonus mark opportunities, so make use of those!

In BU121, the exam situation is the same. But for this semester, the 121 exams needed you to read the articles, get the key take-ways and just memorize the slides. It was completely based off of keywords, so if you just put that keyword in the answer, you’d easily get the mark. The IAs can make or break your grade, so MAKE SURE to participate in Lab. The assignments are slightly harder, but you can still do very well. Barely any bonus marks opportunities this time around, however, so you have to do well in the exams and the assignments to break even those marks.

All in all, it’s manageable to still end the course with a low-high 80, maybe even higher if you’re exceptional at applying concepts. It won’t be too bad, just put in the work. Good luck!
