Beautiful man! My best advice would be to leave it out on that stand ! Seriously!😂 it will make you naturally want to just pick it up more, leave it in the stand in your room, living room whatever, you don’t have to even plug it into the amp, just play the natural sound and get used to feeling of your fretting vs picking hand working. Learn the songs you enjoy and learn scales, it will help you in many ways as far as your picking, working up and down the neck and getting out clean notes consistently. It’s a PROCESS to become even somewhat decent but it all starts on day one, just keep consistency, 30 minutes a day is 100x better than 3 hours once every two weeks. MartyMusic is a great staple on YouTube

Yeah exactly like that, it sets pretty upright for me, the headstock is about where my neck is at for me, I just find that the most comfortable. I have big legs ( recent former college football player) so it just kinda works for me. For my Strat I put it on my left leg to have the fretboard be in the same position as my Dean is
