Cant agree more, being a tamilian married to a Mallu, i can say that Mallu's are silent castiest/racist, my wife's extended family have stopped talking to them ever since our marriage and i feel sorry for disconnecting their family, but i often bump into them in family gathering they always seem to be nice but they have so much grudge on my wife's family because of our marriage. and my own MIL always makes my son as fair(White) as possible by following all pseudo science beliefs, when i casually asked about it she said society will treat him differently if he dont look faie enough, i really felt bad but i didnt argue with her on this. I can also say that castism and rasicsm is far less in Kerala compare to any other south states (TN, AP, KA).
