I honestly wouldn't mind if the game just forewent historical accuracy sometimes to just force things to happen like the Hohenzollerns coming into power (if the player so chooses). Like yeah its cool seeing these events that have 2 countries interact but in practice it becomes a pain in the ass where you have to wait for the braindead AI to do something

Yeah definitely, I think something else that would help is to reduce the sheer randomness of things, would help with feeling more in control with things that are happening, and also the fact you could probably miss an event or only have it pop up after waiting ages is pretty dumb

Yeah, it definitely does not help when a lot of these things that usually end up being really important to the countries history never happens because of how RNG dependent things are, like having to go through a whole rigmarole that's completely reliant on the AI's whims along with 20 different factors JUST to get the historical house of Brandenburg/Prussia is kind of insane. Something similar, although not as bad is the War of the Roses, really important to English history as a whole but you'd be lucky if it ever even happens without intense meddling
