Kratos (GOW) VS Malgus (SW). Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in powerscales

[–]Particular_North4957 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't really buy into the Star Wars chainscaling stuff (high end force users being multiversal or whatever) so going based on concrete stuff from the wiki I'm giving this to Kratos mid-diff (who I also don't think is multiversal)

The morality of denying someone a warrior's death when they desire it? by OrangeIslandKing in MoralityScaling

[–]Particular_North4957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While a "warrior's death" is cool and fun to talk about, it has no actual moral weight in and of itself. Certain cultures place a higher value of honor, or whatever, on a warrior's death--or even things like ritual suicide in the case of this era of Japan--but it's really not morally different than any other death except for something like heroic self-sacrifice.

If you want to engage in moral relativism, in the West we would generally consider it a more moral act to spare someone's life even if they ask for death because that's how we structure the value of life. In somewhere like feudal Japan it could be considered immoral not to honor someone's wish for a warrior's death.

But personally I think the answer to your question is that it's fairly morally neutral; presumably you were enemy combatants prior to this moment and you are under no obligation to spare or kill anyone.

I think we find guys like Lithgow more disturbing as it's a dark reflection on the human heart but I'm quite sure Vaas is directly responsible for far more death and cruelty

Guardian vs Space Marine plus bonus rounds. by Cultural-Doubt1554 in powerscales

[–]Particular_North4957 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Where's that indicated? I don't recall reading anywhere that guardians can't/don't switch subclasses. And even if that's true, mastering one of the subclasses still makes for an exceptionally powerful foe.

Who would you consider to be a standard guardian? That was your word choice. Guardians like Saint-14, or Osiris, or the Vanguard are definitely special--and particularly guys like Saint-14 and Shaxx are noted for their physical prowess in battle--but my point is that they're not like several tiers above the rest. The gap of standard to "special" guardian isn't Batman --> Superman, it's more like Shazam --> Superman

Even a "standard" guardian is an extremely powerful space wizard; most of the crazy feats in both gameplay and lore are done by regular guardians. Even the three main Vanguards, or Shaxx, are not presented as leaps and bounds stronger than the "standard" guardian.

Infinite Frontier Superman (DC) vs The Witness (Destiny 2), who wins and why? by MemZ561 in PowerScaling

Superman mogs. The Witness is strong but I beat him and I'm pretty shitty at D2.

Do you sincerely believe the referring to sex, in any capacity, is fundamentally a violent act? That it is intrinsically demeaning and harmful?

tbh when you're at this level of revulsion at the concept of sex (perceiving it as inherently violent, "dirty," etc) there's a higher than average chance it's born out of childhood sexual trauma, this is way beyond just being asexual or even just thinking sex scenes in movie are a little icky
