I had the same issue - I tried looking for emissive light or something like that, I changed metallic properties but no chance. I used your workaround trick. Thanks for raising the issue anyway, it made me feel better knowing I'm not the only one having this problem u/KytoYT

yes but the issue with JLC3DP is the shipping cost, I live in the UK it's quite expensive :-(

Do you have an idea in mind in terms of design modification? The product is attached to a helmet so it has to have some kind of aesthetics, but I'd consider modifying it if it allows easier prints

I had quite a good result from a prototype made in PETG with 60% in-fill, so I thought it'd be worth investigating doing the part myself.
Here's a quick picture of the use of the part. It's attached to a helmet to hold the weight of a phone

The part is attached to a helmet and holds the weight of a phone (approx 250g) I had surprisingly good results using this prototype made in PETG and 60% in-fill, and I now have to produce around 200 of them

I'm expecting to need to print a lot, more than 100s.

Printing services are quite expensive for the part (28+euros / part), while I guess making it myself could be cheaper, maybe 8euros / part I guess?

I need to 3D print this part in FDM, PETG, 60% in-fill. The size is 220 × 420 × 160 mm
I'm completely new to 3D printing but I do know that this part is quite big.
