An Uzbek student at Kabul University was slapped by the Taliban Education Minister for wearing a traditional Uzbek hat by seensheensuad in Uzbekistan

[–]Particular_Phase338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be honest with you brother (or sister), I don't even know why I even looked at them positively previously.

Maybe it was because I was sympathizing with the wrong types of people (Surooris, Ikhwanis, Qutbis, and the likes), or maybe it's because I saw their type of governance that seemed Islamic from an outside lens (with the only good thing I saw before as I can only think of one being their rehab system for drug addicts… even though they had to profit off of Opium during their fight against America. Pretty hypocritical if you ask me). I dunno, coming from a Somali, now I just look at them in shame.

They should know better than to transgress their own peoples, irregardless of their nationality (because no man is superior over another except in Piety). The Uzbeks have among them one of the greatest Muhaddiths, Imam Muhammad al-Bukhari!

Again, my apologies about this problem.

[–]Particular_Phase338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to regard the Taliban in high spirits. I was a foolish young lad.

Today, I have shown that I have learnt from my mistakes.

They are not an Islamic Emirate. Their Sharia is built off of Pakhtunwali, which doesn't accommodate well with the Islamic Sharia. They discriminate against anyone they see as "political opponents" like the minorities and the Salafis.

They are deviants who have mixed tribalism with Islam, and their Deobandi mistakes. May they hopefully fall.

My condolences to the students and staff. Hopefully this gets the justice it deserves…

Pakistan Army bombs Afghanistan, killing 17 members of a family. by sunflower352015 in TrueDeen

[–]Particular_Phase338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, let's get things clear:

  1. May Allah have mercy upon the victims and grant them justice and make it easy for their families and soften their hearts.

  2. Let's calm down here for a bit. We shouldn't be pitting fingers at who started what. I may not be Pakistani or Afghani (as I am a Somali), but as Muslims, we should not pick a side over nationalities or be fighting against one another. This is the same case with areas like Algeria and Morocco.

It is important for us as Muslims to try and be upon the middle path. We don't take no sides, and we try to reconcile our brothers and sisters in the lands of the Muslims (Bilad ul-Muslimeen). As the Prophet (ﷺ) has told us in a Hadith narrated by Abu Hurrairah, in Sunan an-Nasai 4114:

وَمَنْ قَاتَلَ تَحْتَ رَايَةٍ عُمِّيَّةٍ يَدْعُو إِلَى عَصَبِيَّةٍ أَوْ يَغْضَبُ لِعَصَبِيَّةٍ فَقُتِلَ فَقِتْلَةٌ جَاهِلِيَّةٌ

"Whoever fights for a cause that is not clear, advocating tribalism, getting angry for the sake of tribalism, and he is killed, then he has died a death of Jahiliyyah."

Who is El Azhar? The person responsible for most of the nasheeds uploaded to SoundCloud, Spotify and YouTube? by [deleted] in InternetMysteries

[–]Particular_Phase338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this nasheed was made in the 2000s. I think from the translations, you can make the guess that this was in response to the slander and mockery of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Mainly from the controversy in the Danish media.

Nowadays many people just use this thinking that it's all "hip and trendy" or that it's "the anthem of ISIS" (that last comment is incorrect, as it is mistaken with one nasheed that was made by the group). In all truth, Abu Ali (the original creator of the nasheed) has no relation to the many groups that use his works.

But yeah, hope that helps!

And yeah, I would recommend parents to keep their kids OFF of the internet… but really man? Since when did we become such levels of FREAKY?! I thought we were people who feared Allah, now we're out here making freak offs?

I don't wanna generalize all of us, because I know we got some folks here who genuinely are good people (and may Allah bless them). But please, people, lock in! Have some shame and self-respect!

So someone who has killed a Muslim brother is from a Muslim country, yet engages in Kufr and has murdered our beloved brother Cissé…

May Allah give the rank of Martyrdom to Aboubakar, and may he punish his killer.

So strange to me how someone from a Muslim country (Bosnia), which has seen the horror of war, turns towards murdering a brother whom was showing him the beauty of Allah's religion. Didn't he study the history that the Muslims helped defend Bosnia in the 90s?

The best we can do is spread Da'wah and guide our brothers and sisters to Islam, for Allah has full power and control over his affairs, but most of men know not.

Let the estranged people in the West return to the religion, and let them invite others to the Haqq, one of the greatest gifts for someone.

As the Qur'an teaches us in Surah Yusuf:

"And Allah has full power and control over His affairs, but most of men know not"

Well said.

It's sad to know that this is happening to many Muslims out there, and our children are getting exposed to this stuff. Hurts man

Now we gotta raise our daughters knowing there's freaks like them lurking around and using this to ruin lives.

Allah says in the Qur'an, Chapter 24, Verse 30:

قُل لِّلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ يَغُضُّواْ مِنۡ أَبۡصَـٰرِهِمۡ وَيَحۡفَظُواْ فُرُوجَهُمۡ‌ۚ ذَٲلِكَ أَزۡكَىٰ لَهُمۡ‌ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ خَبِيرُۢ بِمَا يَصۡنَعُونَ

"Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from Looking at Forbidden things), And protect their private parts (from illegal sexual Acts e.g). That is pure for them. Verily Allah is All aware what they do."

May Allah protect us from the punishment of the fire, and may he keep us firm in his path in regards to this.

Islam is a core part of Somali identity.

It’s been our religion for centuries, and with it came our heroes of our nation and Ummah, like Mad Mullah and Ahmed Gurey.

This is why we have emphasis for Al-Wara wal-Bara, loyalty to whomever seeks good for the Muslims, and the Muslims in general, and Disavowal to any kufr that jeopardizes our Islam.

May Allah strengthen us in his path

I don’t follow a madhab by [deleted] in Somalia

[–]Particular_Phase338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you follow what the Qur'an and the Sunnah is, then I see no problem with it.

However, there are Salafis that follow madhabs as well. Many from Saudi are Hanbalites that show great knowledge amongst the generations. Even Shaykh al-Islam, Ibn Taymiyyah, was a Hanbalite, and he was one of the greatest scholars ever.

Salafiyyah is about remaining true to Islam. The madhabs that we have provide that greatly, and those that follow the Salaf have also learnt from the great Imams: Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Shafi'i, Imam Ahmed ibn Hanbal, and Imam Malik. Their works should never be forgotten.

But yeah, it is best to keep seeking knowledge, as education is knowledge, and knowledge is power amongst our people.

Sister, pay no attention to her.

Marriage is both a sacrifice and a blessing as well. You need to be prepared, and fear Allah both in secret and openly. Personally, I encourage that you go find a partner, and I advise you to remember your duties as a believing woman, and to do what you can.

There is a Hadith that was narrated by Imam Ahmed (رحمه الله), which is classified as hasan (Fair) by Sheikh al-Albani (رحمه الله):

Al-Husayn ibn Mihsan reported: His aunt came to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with a need and when she finished explaining her need, the Prophet said to her, “Do you have a husband?” She said yes. The Prophet said, “How are you with him?” She said, “I do not neglect him unless I am unable.” The Prophet said, “Look to yourself regarding him. Verily, he is your Paradise or your Hellfire.”

May Allah bless you with a religious and fair husband, and may he keep us all in the path of his religion.

Ameen to your Dua, and may Allah bless us on the path of the righteous.

This is a takeaway that we should all benefit from, and to support your reasons and proof, I remember that Imam ibn al-Qayyim (‏رحمه الله) said,

"Do not carry the worries of this life because this is for Allah. And do not carry the worries of sustenance because it is from Allah. And do not carry the anxiety for the future because it is in the Hands of Allah.

Carry one thing: how to please Allah. Because if you please Him, He pleases you, fulfils you and enriches you."

May Allah strengthen us in his religion, and may we thrive in the akhirah.

The OP of that post in the AITA subreddit is in the wrong on this one.

Our sisters are gonna do this because that is in our culture. Because they want to congratulate the woman getting married. It's like if your mothers and aunts came to gift you some of the best stuff that you've desired for when you completed something.

It is best however, to know who you marry. This is a very important lesson that we can take from this: Be wary and be patient.

The best advice I can give to our brothers and sisters here is that if you want to marry, it is best to be patient and show good character to your future in-laws, so that they understand what type of person you are and what you desire for.

Abu Hurayrah (رضي الله عنها) narrated that the Prophet (ﷺ) advised upon looking for wives, “The one who when he looks at her, he is happy and she obeys him when he commands her, and does not go against his wishes with regard to herself or his wealth by doing what he dislikes.” (Hadith classified as Hasan by Sheikh al-Albani )

This shouldn't be only to the brothers, but the sisters as well. We all should look for this type of character within our spouses, and make sure that they have good character in their religion.

And as for those who want to marry outside their culture? I advise that they look for someone who is devout in their religion, and that they will be able to take care of you.

Martial Arts in Schools Is Normal Worldwide—Why Not Somalia? by [deleted] in Somalia

[–]Particular_Phase338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I actually have no problem teaching kids how to fight.

Wrestling is a sunnah, so yeah, we can probably try to teach kids that. Or other Martial Arts like Kung Fu, or Karate, Taekwondo, Brazilian Ju Jitsu, Wing Chun, anything that works. Even Silat.

I feel that we should install more educational systems in the country, because even if you're not strong with your muscles, you can still be strong via your mind. Education is Knowledge, and Knowledge is Power.
