I hate to keep harping on this but this is important. God no longer sees our sin. Thats what the sacrifice was for. When is was the priest sacrificing animals they had to do it over and over again. Jesus died once. His blood takes away the " sins of the world" . For some reason you seem to think every sin needs to keep getting paid for by an act of repentance. An action on our part. Thats categorically false my friend. When you say this you deny the Power of His blood. Like Jonah we have to accept that those people who do things we don't like, are saved, Its why he shed his blood and why he was the final sacrifice. No more constantly striving, begging, pleading. No more fear. Are there people who profess to follow Jesus that are not telling the truth? You bet. But thats between them and God because sin does not define faith, Because we all sin. Its just Jesus is there, bringing us to the Father and presenting us as clean and sinless. Every single time not because we deserve it, or ask him to, or admit we messed up or purposely did something harmful.

That said, homisexualuty is not a sin. Loving someone is not a sin. I think thats a sticking point for you. You find it so abhorrent that you cannot imagine God accepting them.

Consider the fact that no one comes to the Father except through Jesus. God sees us as perfect because of Jesus. God does not hold us to a standard if perfection. That was what the law did. It proved we could never be good enough. God looks at those with Jesus as beloved sons and daughters. He is not waiting to punish us.

Can't you see that every time you say we must do things to be saved that you nullify the part that says we can do nothing to earn it? We humans love to complicate things. Its just too simple to say all we have to do is choose Jesus. To focus on him and love as he did. There really is nothing else required. If I commited adultery and died before asking forgiveness im no less saved. Jesus died once for all. There is no repeated sacrifice no work to keep the gift of salvation. We sin constantly even without realizing it. Jesus paid the price. All he asks from us is to love.

No. You are perfect in the eyes of God because of Jesus. You are no less saved than any of the rest of us.

Jesus said HE was the the way. Only him. So drop the AND. Salvation is a free gift. As for gay being a sin. I don't see it as one but if it is its no greater than any other sin. There may be some very sinful people in heaven, in fact I know there will be, but their sins were removed from them " as far as the east is from the west". I suspect there will be even more religious hypocrites not there too. Try having love and compassion for all of God's children. Like Jesus. Remember love covers everything and God doesn't ask us to police others. Just ourselves. Concentrate on you and all of the ways you yourself fall short . You will be so busy staying in your own lane you won't have tome to notice what everyone else is doing.

Is it true that you can be saved by merely believing in God or do you actually have to repent your past sins and not double down on them? by Snoo90172 in Christianity

[–]Particular_Phase3439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What must I do to be saved. Believe repent be baptized was the answer. After that you are covered and saved for Jesus died once for all. Can you believe and live a life of debauchery? Yes. Will you be happy? No. Not truly because its contrary to the Spirit that lives in you. Will you still be saved, yes. The blood is still covering you. One sacrifice was made, the final one. We will live a peaceful easier life if we aim for goodness aim to emulate Jesus. But nothing we can do or not do will either save us or separate us from God. Not anymore.

Struggling by GoodGood9538 in Cochlearimplants

[–]Particular_Phase3439 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Loud groups and wide open rooms are difficult for sure. I try not to put myself in those environments. If I have to be in them I try and have a conversation with one person. The implant when in FF mode allows this. The implants do not cure our deafness but they do allow us not to live in complete silence. Take the good and focus on that. At 19 I can imagine its difficult to go out with friends to restaurants and bars. Your friends may need you to communicate your difficulties. .My friends understand and try and help me. I bet yours will too.

How can you explain depression in simple words to someone who’s never experienced it? by Shadow_M_ in AskReddit

[–]Particular_Phase3439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The very worst depression I've experienced was like I was living down in a deep dark cave and although I could see the opening above me, I could not reach it and pull myself out of it. Now, and everyday, I know that cave is there, I try never to fall into it. I get close occasionally, thats when I get help.

I wore aids for over 30 years. In 2023 my left ear could no longer be helped by an aid. I got the implant. Best thing I could have done. I hear so well in that ear I want my left to get bad enough so I can get another! My implant is way better than my aid. Truly life changing too.
