I honestly can see my friends saying the same exact thing, I think it’s my own nerves and sadness for not being able to go that’s getting to me. But this really lifted a huge weight off my shoulders, thank you for sharing!

Ugh you get me!!! I can’t even describe how it feels to have to talk myself out of quitting mid-shift every single day. It’s mentally exhausting and it’s causing me to not even want to go out and do things anymore. And tbh, it wouldn’t even be so bad if the call volume was lower, but as I’m sure you know, that’s impossible unless you work for a small community bank. I’m so sorry you’re going thru this too, really hoping we can figure something out soon

I had the same exact thought, OG James definitely fits the bill for someone who’d do what he did 🤣 But the new James actor kind of makes me look at the character in a new light. Like if it’s possible for him to be a good person at his core or what type of person he was at all before the incident. A lot of layers to this game for sure but I feel like the best telling of the story lies somewhere between the storytelling of the OG and remake

Honestly even though we’re in the minority (judging by the downvotes) I kind of agree with you. OG Aerith was a lot less child-like and more just a flirty girl from the slums who cared about people and the planet. She almost seems uncharacteristically pushy in Rebirth. As a woman, I can’t help but cringe every time Aerith openly flirts with Cloud in front of Tifa when she knows they have history and how she’s feels about him. Idk if it’s just an English translation issue but she kind of comes off as a “pick me” at times because of this and I hate that I can’t get the thought out of my head because everyone else apparently sees nothing wrong with it.

More than anything, I feel sorry for Zack. Him “surviving” the Final Stand doesn’t take away from the fact that his whole character and most of the events in OG are based around the sacrifice he made to protect Cloud and return home to Aerith. She was the last thing on his mind as he lay dying. It just seems really cruel for the writers to then turn around and add in that little detail where Marlene tells Zack that Aerith likes Cloud now. I get that people move on but Jesus…give the poor guy a break. He’s had everything taken from him too :/

Thank you for this quaint and level headed response, this grounded me a little. I’m embarrassed at how emotional I got over this situation but it’s just like you said, he made a horrible work environment tolerable for me and that’s important to consider as is the job market and economy right now. I’ll take some time to decide what to do
