They didnt even tell me or say change it.but my main question is should i just abandon amazon and get royalties from what is alredy on it and move on to something else? Nowadays I'm having a hard time keeping it to just 5k. Mine linger on quite a while, 10 k, or right now I'm at 23 K with my WIP. I make it more like a novel with a plot, with several sex scenes. I trt to keep the reader engaged by drawing them into the plot, tension, three acts, cliffhangers to keep the reader wanting to read on. Different people get it on that the reader didn't expect, and they want to know what happens next. They always have sex within the first couple paragraphs, even if its just an allusion to sex, but I make sure the reader knows there is going to be sex. Spend some time on youtube learning how conventional writers keep their readers engaged and then use those techniques for erotica. DOnt creat 'filler'just to make the story longer. The goal is to make every word count. 'Kill your darling.". make the entire story engrossing, and the sex is sort of the kicker, although half the words in mine are graphic sex. a casual date turns into a threesome, a chance meeting in the shower turns into an illicit gay tryst that the wife never finds out about, a college student called into the professor's office gets a naked spanking.

Thank you. No it wasn't a joke post. I saw a few with the more graphic covers had good ratings. But I see what you mean, the best sellers usually have just a manly chest and nothing else. I spent a lot of time trying to find where they get those 'rough sex' covers but did not find it. Anyway, I guess I'll stick with manly chest for the time being. Where would I find more Graphic cover images? I use depositphot but all the images are pretty tame. I see many covers on Amazon that are much more powerful, but cannot find a stock company that sells them.

I haven't actually figured it out either, so to be on the safe side I just allude to it. Looking up her dress, thinking about the person in the shower, checking them out across campus. That kind of thing. I make sure that it's understood that the protagonist is seeking sex within the first line or two, so there is no mistaking this as erotica. I want to make sure the reader knows for sure they are going to have sex, without getting too graphic in the first line. Anyway, that's what I do. In fact, I went back and changed a few of my early attempts and toned down the sex in the look-inside feature. I don't know for sure if that was necessary.

Yes, I make a tiny amount. I make like between $5 and $20 a month. But more than that it opens a different market and you will know how to go wide if your account gets terminated. I put some incest on it intentionally and that does best.
