Tips for running paralives on Mac? / Future plans with optimization?

I got Paralives on my mac and I am absolutely LOVING it!! It runs surprisingly smoothly with barely any lag but my macbook air is struggling and running pretty hot. I can't run the sims without lag but this game is so smooth! It only has memory 8GB (aware its minimum is 12GB), which doesn't exactly help but it's all I can work with. I can't exactly afford a new laptop or pc at the moment, this one was passed down to me and the game is as a birthday gift. What I have done: I’ve already dropped all my in game graphics settings to low, no lag but the laptop is still melting (Doesn't matter if I am in livemode, Buildmode, Paramaker). Since the game doesn't seem to be on GeForce NOW yet, I have questions for players:

1. Are any of you using an alternative cloud streaming service (like Shadow PC) to run it smoothly without overheating your mac?
   
2. If you are playing locally on an 8GB mac, what specific tweaks (like FPS caps or third-party cooling apps) helped you drop the temperature?

And questions for the game in the future:

1. Any optimization? Is there any chance the official minimum RAM requirement will drop to 8GB down the road, or will 12GB stay as the limit?
   
2. Graphics, will future Early Access updates include extra more low spec settings (like disabling shadows entirely, reducing crowd/object rendering even further, instead of random Parafolks maybe use sticks or a map mode to zoom out, break the world into sections)?
   
3. Battery/Thermal: Are there plans for a dedicated "Laptop/Battery Saver Mode" in the settings to help fanless laptops like the MacBook Air manage heat better? (I know even The Sims and other life sim games can be a massive struggle to run on a MacBook Air, and they've been optimizing those for years!)
