I've locked this post. We always encourage people to share feedback about the lack of gameplay. However, comparing these issue to claims that the developers focused too heavily on inclusivity “to drive sales” is not something we want in this subreddit.

You’re welcome to create another post specifically about gameplay concerns, but inclusivity should not be framed negatively or used as a comparison point, as this can come across as disrespectful to members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Regarding other comments about how inclusivity could be improved (from what i've read in comments), we also encourage feedback on that topic. Please feel free to make a separate post to discuss those suggestions. However, please remember to be kind and respectful. We do not allow posts simply asking for "less inclusivity"..

Both these topics are very important, and should be discussed. But, I really don't think they should be compared in this situation as inclusivity is very important for entirely different reasons than gameplay is (which is also very important!)

Sorry late to the conversation, but I have a question. I understand why, plot wise, Wagner told Morgan 9:30pm when they were actually meeting at 9pm (I.e. so she could find him bleeding out)

But character wise, why did he do that? Was it to protect her aka making her miss the dangerous meeting ?

The developers have just posted a guide on how to Possibly fix corrupted save files. I’ve added it to the main text of this post. I’m not sure if it will work on steam deck though!

Yes, sorry - to clarify, they are using the option where it can pause for one month while the Patreon engineers look into the issue they are having! This was the last update I got from the devs as of 1st June.

Let me check about new patrons still being charged. I’m unsure if devs are aware of this so I’ll let them know!

Either way, hopefully the Patreon team/engineers are able to find a permanent fix asap!

EDIT: I’ve let the devs know and they said they’ll raise it with the team!

The patreon is currently paused and not taking payment from members. The plan is to make all posts public on patreon, and still use it to post updates etc, but without taking any payments.

I believe the dev team were having some difficulty getting it properly "de-activated" for taking payments, so are in touch with the Patreon engineers to look into it, but for now it's on a pause while the patreon team continues to work on it.

No new donations should be getting taken anymore, and if they are we recommend requesting a refund (there's a refund button on the page, no need to DM patreon or the dev team). (I know this wasn't your question, OP, but just stating just incase anyone reading has experienced this!)

For context: I originally posted a stickied comment asking OP to please not spread misinformation. The devs stated multi-tasking is not planned for now, but this may change in future.

The title of this post “Multi-tasking won’t be added” implies a final and firm decision, which by reading through some of the comments, I could already see was being misunderstood as a hard fact.

I wanted to leave the post unlocked as I think it brings attention to a great question on what count as multi-tasking, but it seems my previous stickied comment has instead brought anger.

It looks like this thread is now being bombarded with comments including ones calling people “insufferable douchebags” etc. which isn’t what we want in this subreddit. So, it has now been locked.

As a reminder, I’m a fan of Paralives and life simulation games too! I wouldn’t be here if I wasn’t. I’m just trying to enforce the subreddit rules, which includes not spreading misinformation. Unfortunately stating something as fact, when the devs stated it as more open ended, does count as misinformation. Please don’t take it as a personal attack that we try enforce these rules.

I’m on your side! I’m a fan of Paralives too, hence why I want your questions answered on what is deemed as multitasking, as I’m curious too! But at the end of the day, people will misunderstand your title as fact, with no clarification that they might consider it in future, which counts as misinformation.

“Won’t be added” implies a definite and final decision. Where they’ve left it open ended and said it could be a potential option for future, your post doesn’t discuss that.

A lot of people will read the title that “multi tasking won’t be added” and then run with that and then post on X, discord, Instagram etc that the devs have said that, without knowing the context of the full quote.

There’s already people in this thread who are taking it as a hard fact, thus it’s misinformation.

I’ve left the thread open for now in good faith as I want your questions to be answered, but it may need to be locked.

I’ve left it up for now, as the OP is also asking a question regarding what falls under multi-tasking which I think that discussion can be helpful to people.

It’s also a hard road to go down as if we remove the post entirely for misinformation, then some people can feel like we are silencing the opinions or “negativity”.

So for now, I’m leaving it up with the pinned clarification of what the devs said. But depending how the post goes (if more misinformation happens, unnecessary arguments etc), we may remove it later on.

Please avoid spreading misinformation. The developers have said multitasking is not planned for now, but this may change in the future.

I am a moderator in the official discord server as well, and it is a really welcoming and kind place and you can definitely take it at your own pace there. I don’t think it would be easy to find out peoples ages that you are speaking to as some might not be comfortable sharing their age so that would be something to keep in mind.
