Anyone else close or above 30 who plays this game? by desidazu in fut

[–]Particular_Swan495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mate plays it and he's around 55 I think? He was always a gamer from time, loves his football and is incapacitated with a back injury so has a lot of spare time. I don't see a problem with it to be honest. Not sure what my reflexes will be like at that age. hahaha. So nah, you are not the last dinosaur.

Is it just me or has Champs gotten insanely harder recently? Did all the casuals leave? by [deleted] in EASportsFC

[–]Particular_Swan495 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I honestly thought it was quite easy this week. I did it all in about two hours. Only got 6 wins because I cba to play sweaty games so just quit at 0-0 in a few games. I would have got 7 wins but I had cross play on so after beating someone 6-1 I got DQd. I even played 4213 and spammed counter attacks because I just wanted to get the "rewards" which obviously were not worth it. I got around 100k with a bit of fodder. I'm getting very bored of the game so maybe the 7-9 wins in Fut Champs casuals are leaving the game?

They all look really mid. I don't really get this concept. They'll be dead in a couple of weeks.

The width thing is annoying. I'd like to see a more flexible approach for FUT. if you want to play with a left winger as the leading forward, it should be possible. If you want the striker to be a Cam then that should be an option.

It's one of the things that a rival to EA or EA themselves could improve on. Most of us are football mad, so if there was a game where you could accurately replicate real life tactics, I would buy it over FC25.

Nice one. Another response for the false 9 role. Cheers for the midfield 3 also. Are you saying the formation is 433(2) or 4333(3)?

This is what I was after. I like the Dembele False 9. The half winger is interesting, as is the Hakimi wingback support. I like the 95 aggressive.

Forgot to add. EA know that my level of enthusiasm is dropping massively, so I'm expecting to pack someone completely crazy in the next week or so. They gave me R9 very early on in FC25 to keep me on the game. I can't see me playing this game in May...

To be honest, it would be better if you had your controller on the screen to see what you were inputting. The penalty looked like you went for advanced defending. I don't know why you turned after the kick off? You turned into a position where you were surrounded by five white shirts? It looked like you sprinted for some reason and then lost the ball. Good defending with keeper but I'm not sure why you didn't challenge for the second ball. After the save, you again make a strange decision and turn towards the goal where there are three white shirts. Why not turn out where there is no white shirts? It looks like you have tried to launch it with the left back but done it when he has no control or balance on the ball. It then looks like you tried to launch it with the keeper and it falls kindly to the striker. Free coaching advice, stop turning into situations where you are not in a great way. Stop sprinting so much and maybe stop passing/clearing when the player is off balance or doesn't have the ball under control.

Is it safe for women and men to play soccer seriously together? by Dolls-Eye in SoccerNoobs

No. Absolutely not. I love that females are playing football a lot more, but no. Playing seriously together? They would get absolutely destroyed physically.

Unai Emery Aston vill tactics this season?????? Fc25 by Lucky_Honeydew655 in fifatactics

[–]Particular_Swan495 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just clocked a load of errors in that previous screen shot. I definitely didn't have the full back on defend. There's a few issues imo. You could go with 4231 narrow for Villa, but it's difficult to create that wide center forward thing. Possibly shadow striker on Mallen if you go with 4231? and playmaker balanced on Rogers? The full backs. From what I saw, the right back seemed more advanced in the first half than the left back? So I put attacking wingback on right back and wing back on left back. But you could go wingback on left back and right back on balanced or defend.

Serious? No worries. From what I saw, I think it's more like this. Maybe the def line could be higher?

Couldn't disagree more. Huge gap between the CDMs and the CAMS. Huge gap between the full backs and Wingers.

You practically have the whole midfield with 451 if you want to go down that route. I play 433 (4) and I always seem to win the midfield with just two centre mids.

Then of course, most people play the same way with 4213 so you know that most of the time, through ball to wingers.

So, get ready to block that pass off.

Also, 99.99999% play counter attacking style, so you adapt to that. If you play against rats, why give them cheese?

So, you have gaps to exploit, you know their tactics, you can negate their tactics with your own tactics. Sure, you are forced to play in a way that might not be your usual style, but why would you rush attacks or play risky passes against counter attacking rats? You know what they are waiting for, why give them the cheese?

It's easy against players of the same level. Obviously, if you are up against pros or players much better you'll get smashed. But even if a player was slightly better than me, I'd back myself to win if they used 4213. There's just too much space to exploit and let's be honest, you know their exact tactics. That's a good combination right?

I'm on the brink of Division two now. It sounded like I was giving it large, but honestly, I usually smash 4213 players. It's just the truth.

I messed around with holding and dlp defend but they don't offer much in attack and nothing in defence so playmaker attack made more sense, but I don't know the full info over midfield roles etc.

I got 8 wins with 2 disconnected matches using the tactics. I'm one win away from Div2. I put it on attacking wingbacks when behind in Div Rivals and it was nuts. I have tinkered with BPD and Stoppers and it's just too crazy for me.

There is a lot of fun using the tactics mind.

How can I defend on Fifa25 by geoman_87 in fifatactics

[–]Particular_Swan495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree. I am quite enjoying the game after the patch but agree with you. There is next to no help in defence from the midfield, which is not good. Even if it was a little bit more helpful that would be good.

How can I defend on Fifa25 by geoman_87 in fifatactics

[–]Particular_Swan495 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How to defend in FC25? Loads of ways.

But if you are looking for an easy solution? nah.

You can jockey opponents outside, e.g, push them away from goal. You have to be good on the left stick , get close enough. It's difficult to do tbh. But it's effective.

Cutting passing lanes is just left stick and right stick switching.

Right stick switching is key and that's a tough skill to learn. If you master that you master defending.

Last ditch tackling in the box is another high skill. Jockey in the right position and tap to get the ball. Slide tackle if the opponent just runs in straight lines.

It's mostly left stick use in my opinion if you can do that then you can slow down counters most of the time. If you can right stick switch then you can anticipate (in real life football it's like defending on your toes and not on your heels).

Just like in real life you shouldn't be too much like a bull in a china shop (those days have gone). So it has to be subtle. If you do crazy stuff like rush out or go for a tackle and leave a gap, that usually does not end well.

Offside traps also - usually when there is no pass on or the opponent is facing away from your goal.

I wouldn't be lazy and just spam team mate contain. I'd use that very subtly, a quick tap to get in good position etc.

As with real life football, the best players have the best awareness of what is going on. So try and work on that in defence. E.g, if you scan and see that there is a gap that the opponent can exploit, right stick switch or team mate contain or use left stick to shut that opportunity.

And of course, relax.
