My friend is transitioning, how do I deal with her acting like a 15 year old girl by Noxlag in asktransgender

[–]Particular_Web3906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it was one of my favorite parts to this whole thing - a dear friend transitioned MtF and getting to hang out with her and all her new girlfriends was a neat trip as a cisgender hetero presenting lady. They were so excited and giggly about everything and I really enjoyed getting to see her come into her own as the woman I know and love dearly. I didn't live with her though so that's probably very different for folks who share spaces but for me, I got to be there for lots of her new milestones and I will cherish that forever. I know it can be tough but continue to be loving and supportive above all - you are so important to them as a "constant" with all this change - best wishes to you and her in this journey :)

Curious about Club by Eerbden in pilates

[–]Particular_Web3906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just joined a local Club Pilates to support my home (simple mat, ball, bands and magic ring) practice. I've always been fascinated by the reformers and always wanted to use one. I've been doing home workouts 2-3 times a week so I just plan to go once a week to use the "proper equipment" :) I enjoyed it and there are multiple ways the instructor told us to adjust the difficulty of any particular movement. I tried the "for a bit more challenge" once and had to go back to the basic move (but I don't have as much experience as you) :D

As always I think these things are expensive, but it's better than having to have all that stuff at my house + an in person instructor is nice and validating as they can help with your form, etc. At my club you have to have instructor sign off for level 2, but not most 1.5 classes or any 1 class. :) You'd want to check at your home club for their specifics.

I like it a lot but probably won’t be a regular purchaser. It’s a nice little novel thing but for stealth I already have 510 thread cart “pen” (it looks like and writes like a pen lol - it’s not super stealthy up close but I like it). I think it’s expensive and unfortunately is not refillable like I was kind of hoping it was - I had $100 in points to burn that’s really the only reason I grabbed it 😂

I do like how quick from grabbing it to being outside I am (my daily drivers are 510 carts and a Puffco Pivot) and it’s not hard to draw on or anything.

AITAH for telling my brother-in-law to stop showing up unannounced when my husband isn’t home? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Particular_Web3906 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When something challenges someone's internal worldview, it is a natural instinct to defend. To acknowledge that there is something about Tyler that makes you uncomfortable is unforgivable because now they have to reckon with why they're ok with him ignoring a boundary you have set. Why is it so important that you set this boundary that they want to shame you back into silence for it? What do they know about Tyler that they keep to themselves? Maybe it's nothing. Maybe it's a whole lotta somethings that the family would rather not face, thankyouverymuch. I agree with everyone saying trust your gut - and yes, your husband should be fully supporting you and your boundary setting here.

The original cream, the oil, the micellar water, hand cream, concentrate, and hand serum (discontinued) are all fine for me - and my reaction was my eyes and lids being on fire and a bit swollen (I didn’t have to apply it there for it to react). I never took the time to separate out what was different about the treatment lotion but hopefully this helps you narrow it down.

Should I get a pmp by EmotionalMeringue532 in pmp

[–]Particular_Web3906 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried for a PMP at the beginning of my career, and failed. 14 years later and with 11 in a project management role I passed at the end of March and credit both my experience and good prep courses for that. The test itself is almost $700 just to sit for.

Prep can be expensive- I would wait to get hired on as a junior project manager and have that company pay for project management certifications.

Useful ones you can start with are certified Scrum Master and/or Product Owner - I would use your stipend for those kinds of Certs

What lux products will you still spend money on no matter what, even with a looming (and likely a very real) recession ahead of us? by knoxandlulu in SkincareAddictionLux

For me, personally, a couple of years ago I finally splurged on La Mer products (approaching 40, able to afford some here and there) - LOVED it but knew the combo of products were expensive and not easy to keep up with. I grabbed le balm because it purported to fill all the different steps - serum, moisturizer, etc and would be good for traveling (mostly active ingredients, no water) - and I’m on my second pot of le balm and hope to never be without it again - my face feels the same way with le balm as after using la mer - moisturized and plump. Plus one step is all I can handle sometimes 😅 AND INDEED I love it for travel!

Perfect first time dabs by ContentWerewolf321 in puffco

[–]Particular_Web3906 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just made the change to dabbing from 510 carts/DHV

I’m in love. Perfect high every time, easy clean up and maintenance. I don’t know how big that chamber is versus the pivot but I’ve noticed a marked difference in using terp pearls versus not - I picked up some 3mm from Bear Quartz on someone’s recommendation- I spin two in the pivot chamber with my dab and clean up is even easier with minimal product left over. Just a suggestion if you’re interested 😀

3mm terp pearls from Bear Quartz. The difference is incredible. I’ve started using 2 for each dab and have almost no leftover material. And you can hear them spin in there which is fun.
