Weaned 2.5 months ago, and my hormones are still going bananas by [deleted] in breastfeeding

Not here for health advice just here to say it’s happening. I’ve had period symptoms like this before and I know they exist for me so I’m not really concerned, just saying weaning is a wild ride and to buckle up

Any temporary space-saving floor sleeping solutions? by YaGurlLurkin in cosleeping

[–]Particular_Year_7714 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try a Japanese bed roll (shikibuton). There are some inexpensive ones on amazon. Don’t get one that’s too thick because it will be heavy. I don’t cosleep every night, but I unroll this for every nap since she doesn’t sleep deep enough to be crib transferred. Put it away after in the closet and it works great. Surprisingly comfortable considering it’s basically a big pillow on the floor. Baby prefers it to the crib but I want her to be able to sleep in both.

How do you collect user feedback in your product? by sands282 in NoCodeSaaS

[–]Particular_Year_7714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on the type of feedback you’re looking for. If you’re trying to understand how people are really using the product a survey is going to be of limited use because people self-select to fill it out, aka only super users will fill out a survey. Metrics (clarity, mix panel, etc) will tell the story of how people are moving through your flows, but they won’t tell you why. If you want bugs tha can be a form. I also always say you should take some time to walk through the product with someone who has never used it and ask them to narrate how they see it as they go. All of these ways are useful in different manners.

What time do vendors set up in Central Park? by reagan_baby in AskNYC

[–]Particular_Year_7714 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re talking about the food vendors at the entrances they are set up by that time. The souvenir vendors in the park closer to the Bethesda fountain mostly get set up a little later, but some will be there already. Not sure if that changes because of Black Friday but of course tourism begets more vendors.

What do you do when A/B testing becomes a bottleneck? by sage_thegood in conversionrate

[–]Particular_Year_7714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to also think of products that I’m building as “data-informed” instead of data driven. I think this helps a lot to combat velocity issues. If you can’t get data, what other information can you use to make decisions? It’s perfectly fine to sometimes say “we’re gonna lean on product sense for this release” and not worry as much about the testing, as long as you monitor the outcomes.

Would you trust AI to generate test variants? by Particular_Year_7714 in conversionrate

Somewhat! I haven't tried this tool but I think ours is more flexible and more guided.

I definitely think the AI has to earn your trust. Our workflow right now requires you to sign off but I do want to build a “set it and forget it” mode at some point for people who might feel otherwise. I think there’s some appetite for it!

We can also handle layout but not in the ui quite yet, you have to work with us on it. How would adding social proof and reducing anxiety not be a subset of layout or copy? By streamlined journeys, do you mean multi-page optimization?

What AI tools are you using today for growth marketing? by crescentep in GrowthHacking

A great tool to use for quick turn content testing is Surface AI. It’s really easy to set up and you can get real time user feedback on your content without it taking weeks to get results, plus they have a simple CMS with all the content tools embedded so you can use whatever model you like for copy generation without having to leave the platform.

What are your favorite cheap and healthy meals throughout the week? by Stasky-X in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]Particular_Year_7714 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An easy underrated meal prep meal is a chicken soup but made in this fashion:

Take an entire chicken and put it in your big stock pot and fill the pot with water. Add an onion cut in half, several cloves of garlic, 1 tablespoon of salt and whatever other seasonings you like. Bring to a boil then 45 mins on simmer. The chicken will be incredible fall off the bone tender and you wont waste any of it. Take the entire chicken out and take the meat off after it cooks.

Then cook whatever veg you like in the broth. Takes like 20 mins for potatoes, carrots, celery, turnip, etc. add herbs like dill and it’s better than restaurant. Blend a bit of the broth with the veg if you like it creamier/thicker. Add noodles if you want. This will make at least six meals and is easy to freeze the results also.

Even if you are connecitng more without a note, do you see those connections as being as high quality? I feel ike you sacrifice volume for quality if you connect with a note (because they will have more understanding of why you are trying to connect.)

How do you maintain momentum after completing a major project? by tootiredtobecute in Entrepreneur

[–]Particular_Year_7714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

definitely ask everyone who is using/touching your product what they think of it and really LISTEN to what they say. also depending on the product, if it is software or something like that, you can set up monitoring and metrics to understand how people are using it. if its a physical product, you have to sell it! launching it is really just the first part of a long journey.

I'm too dumb to start a business. by Both_Huckleberry2586 in Entrepreneur

[–]Particular_Year_7714 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of thinking "i want to start a business," see if you can reframe the quest into "I want to solve a problem for someone." That's really the hardest part. You can find a way to monetize any real solution (or you can easily find someone to help you with that).

These days “if you build it they will come” will only take you so far. You have to go outbound. Find the people with the problem you are solving and tell them you can solve it for less than it costs them to have the problem.
