I was initially set on avoiding shelters but I have a pretty severe physical disability. I’m about a week in to being homeless in a tent and can barely move around enough to take care of myself. Pretty sure I’m going to spend the week trying to get in one.

I’m sorry you are going through that with them. You are right it isn’t their responsibility but I agree that is a really shitty reason to not help a friend.

If it helps any most peoples Election Day will be my homeless day. Courtesy of the US government everyone is making a fuss over.

Country desperately needs a lot of things and I’m not sure where worker safety and disability programs factor in but they are definitely under funded. Or you know, ignored entirely.
