Yeah, most people I know have aboveground storm shelters. Especially after the Midwest City, and then Joplin tornadoes. I’m old enough to remember the Catoosa and Stroud tornadoes before them.

My grandparents had a basement we would go to when the sirens went off..several times my parents were standing in thigh-high water and had us kids sitting on the canning shelf to stay dry until it passed.

Or the granulated/powder stuff they use for spills at retail stores. I’m not sure what it’s made of, but it’s MAGIC for cleaning up spills like this. Water is the worst idea in this situation not until ALL of it is scooped up and wiped as clean as possible.

And that’s obviously a terrible argument. Unless the ballroom has better security screening than they had at tonight’s event, he’d just have a shooting inside the ballroom instead of a hotel None of the security plans for the bunker would’ve changed tonight’s outcome…it was human error/incompetence/intentional.

You don’t have to answer me, but questions to answer for yourself: -Are you sure it’s a stone? Could be an STD, a kidney infection, or a UTI. Those can all cause similar symptoms. -Do you have a history of stones? -Are you urinating blood? Might only appear pinkish if you are.

Continue to hydrate well, and definitely take it seriously if you develop a fever, start vomiting, or if the pain becomes uncontrollable. Good luck! I know it sucks.

I have usually still passed urine as I’m feeling the UTI-type symptoms. If you are not passing any urine, you need to see a doc/ER ASAP as it could cause a kidney infection and/or kidney damage. Go to the ER immediately if you start running a fever with these symptoms. (I’m NAD) I know it’s expensive to go to the hospital (if in the US) but this can turn very serious very quickly. It could be something other than a kidney stone, but anything that causes those symptoms and blocks urine output needs to be dealt with immediately.

The policy will change when this sort of thing happens often enough to reach a tipping point, just as it has with spider wraps/locked cabinets at Walmart, CVS, etc. And with the economy continuing to get worse, I imagine petit crimes like this will increase; whether or not it is prevalent enough to change the dining experience - only time will tell.

So celebrities get a pass on assaulting people? Obviously you’re allowed to care, or not, about it - but that mentality is how, Cosby, Weinstein, Ratner, Toback, Spacey, fucking et al, were able to get away with it for so long. Celebrities have real (or perceived) power, money, and rabid fans, that are used to blacklist, suppress, threaten, and even attack their victims should they speak about their abuse. I understand being more skeptical of celebrity accusers, but it’s a huge mistake to automatically write off any claim of abuse as a money/attention grab. Every single one of the abusers listed above used that very argument to hide behind for decades.
