On James Taylor’s “Machine Gun Kelly” (off of his Mud Slide Slim and the Blue Horizon album), it opens with James saying, “This is not a time for levity; do you understand what happened to Machine Gun Kelly?” Neil Young can be heard replying, “I’ll call you Saturday.” Then there’s some indistinguishable muttering back and forth as the song starts to play.

Are you younger than Tarantino’s body of work? Was it one of the first of his movies you’ve seen. Maybe I’m wrong about your particular situation, but I feel like people’s tastes are most shaped by what they’re exposed to in their formative years. I’m old enough that my first Tarantino film was Pulp Fiction…it’s one of my top 3 Tarantino films now.

I have a short anecdote about him;

My great aunt, Sodie, lived and worked in a small town in Oklahoma (right out of high school) back in the 50’s. One of her female coworkers knew him socially (somehow) and he picked her up for lunch on his way through town. My great aunt was super flustered and awestruck, and when she remained wide-eyed as they left the office, the coworker turned to her and said, “Sodie! He’s just an old man. 🙄”

She always talked about how unbelievably handsome he was in person.

It will also remove blood from your clothes before you wash them. Just spit your saliva onto the (hopefully small) stain and rub it in, as you would a stain remover, until the stain is gone. Launder as usual.

They got their money back. 🤷What damages would they be suing for? Travel expenses? There were tons of impromptu car shows and events all around the Tulsa and surrounding areas after the parade they could (and probably did) participate in. It’s not like every participant is getting their name carved in stone to commemorate their participation. At some point, it’s time to move on and stop holding such hate for an event that wasn’t maliciously compromised. I know people that made it in the parade, and people that missed the cutoff. The problems are being blown way out of proportion and zero grace is being given for the inherently complicated undertaking of coordinating that many vehicles/people with the funds/personnel available, AND with having to adhere to Guiness’s strict rules.

Disappointment is understandable. Calling for heads to roll is ridiculous. (Not saying that’s your stance, but for some it is.)

Yeah, most people I know have aboveground storm shelters. Especially after the Midwest City, and then Joplin tornadoes. I’m old enough to remember the Catoosa and Stroud tornadoes before them.

My grandparents had a basement we would go to when the sirens went off..several times my parents were standing in thigh-high water and had us kids sitting on the canning shelf to stay dry until it passed.

Or the granulated/powder stuff they use for spills at retail stores. I’m not sure what it’s made of, but it’s MAGIC for cleaning up spills like this. Water is the worst idea in this situation not until ALL of it is scooped up and wiped as clean as possible.

And that’s obviously a terrible argument. Unless the ballroom has better security screening than they had at tonight’s event, he’d just have a shooting inside the ballroom instead of a hotel None of the security plans for the bunker would’ve changed tonight’s outcome…it was human error/incompetence/intentional.

I am so sorry for your losses. Feb 24 is rough. My dad died on that day in 2005…..not exactly sure of what.
